I had no idea. I did think it was very strange how quickly he sent me a friend's request and began emailing me. He really hadn't been here long, but he seemed sincere. I'll send you the email he sent me. It was way weird.

Yeah there is some "issues" with that guy. He could have remained if he could play nice but he starts problems with everyone.

seems to be happening a lot around here lately... people not playing nice.

One minute he was going out of his way to be friends with me and the next he was mad and being weird.

I think everyone is just super stressed out because of the holidays perhaps? I dont know. Ive never really had any negative feelings associated with Yule but I also dont have a lot of people to shop for and buy gifts. Thats what makes people nuts. Unrealistic expectations. Its not about that. Yule isnt anyway.

I think this is very true. I used to get very stressed out by the holidays when I was married. There is so much pressure to make it all "perfect" and buy a lot of presents. And, the in-laws.

But, Yule is not like that at all. It's a very peaceful holiday celebrating the changing of the season.

That's why I prefer Yule to Christmas. Christmas to me is a retail holiday. Retail stores budget for it and count on people spending and spending for Christmas. I celebrate Christmas with my family, that's what they do. I won't try to change their mind on that... nor do I try and change what they believe. But I refuse to give into the madness of the "walmart christmas"

Any "holiday" that has a day like "black friday" where people are waiting for hours and trample other people to DEATH every single year over a sale price is something that I want NO part of.

Ain't that the truth.

Oh I know those Door Buster sales on Black Friday. My brother went to one of those and he said he wont do it again. He had his 4 kids with him and he said it was madness and they all almost got knocked over an stampeded. My brother is 6' 5'' and these people were almost pushing him over.

The poor walmart employee that got trampled to death this year was 6'5'' as well... they broke down the doors and stomped him to death. It happens every year. The night before black friday I was talking about it with my nephew who thought I was exagerrating on how serious it is. He couldn't believe people would do such a thing. I told him "watch the news tomorrow, someone, somewhere will be stomped to death during tomorrows sales". The walmart employee was killed and 2 people were shot in line at a Toys r us. just terrible. I refuse to contribute even 1 dollar to such madness.

Okay I am on page 40 in my Tarot Card Book. It told me to shuffle my cards with my left hand onto my right hand. I am a right hander! So that was a bad experience. All the cards flew all over the place

So after picking them up and shuffling one more time, I am told to take one card and see what I picked.

I picked the card "The lovers".

I am so happy! It is like that is the perfect card of them all.

No wonder I have been married for 20 years thus far

VI: The Lovers

The image of this card portrays far more than mere words could hope to convey. Simply speaking, it represents human love and relationships. Here we have the harmony of the combined polarities, male and female, the perfect union expressed through love.

For me, the artwork of this card finally portrays the lovers in the actuality that our human condition naturally desires. In older versions of this card, the lovers often depicted three people and indicate choices, with the possible reference to the temptation of a third party - perhaps for this reason it has often been a common area of misinterpretation.

Yet, with regard to choice, the area of love relationships is perhaps one of the biggest arenas in which we experience personal growth and challenges, as we seek to harmonize self with another.

As such, our relationships, represent choices all the way through this could be the choice of becoming involved in a new romance, or choosing to make a commitment in an existing relationship, such as marriage, or in a solid relationship making choices that will affect both partners.

The Lovers is a positive card, unless badly aspected, and surrounding cards will clarify what situation is being faced.

Thats awful. This year it was probably worse just due to the economy. There is more desperation. People feel like they may not be able to afford any gifts unless they hit those sales. My family didnt even do gifts while I was growing up. We just had a meal. Its stupid. They should outlaw those kinds of sales. Maybe ticket it and allow so many people in at a time.
