Hi Everyone... I received this link, it's for my cousin's baby who's still in the hospital. If anyone has a chance maybe take a look and sign the guest book. He could really use some positive thoughts and maybe light a candle for him. Thank you flowerforyou His name is Caden Thrasher.

That would be Christian organizations in other words. huh

Primarily mediterrenean mythologies as of those who just go with the flow and don't care. It is too bad that many just believe without doing a little research on there own.

Well yes you have the big three as I always refer to them and they are derived from the same geographical location. The Mediterranean. Primarily it is the Christians who have issues with Witches and the Craft and that dates back to their conflicts with the Pagans and trying to convert the Pagani.

Its always best to do your own research.

Good afternoon:smile:

I'm actually on GMT UK time.

I'm getting up when everyone else seems to get into their beds.
Usually I peep in here and have a look whether I missed something.

And I'm back from my course around now, sometimes a little sooner, sometimes a little later.

Always missing out on the good stuff, and having a lot of reading to dogrumble

What course?

Computerlaugh

I actually don't know why, because for the last 5 weeks I have been boredfrown

that is because our class is so mixed, some of them have never been on a computer before.flowerforyou

Yes I have actually heard of those terms you mention. Here in Miami we have voodoo practices from Haitians. They have white or black magic and they actually dress in white or black clothes depending on what they practice. Most are in white clothing thoughlaugh

I, personally, will use darker magick for self defense. Just like I would use a gun for self defense. I would never hurt anyone or interefere with anyone's will using magick unless it was for self defense purposes.

Good Morning everyone,

What time does everybody awake and go on mingle. I ask because everytime I go on to reply, I get no answer and end up in the jokes section trying to get laugh of the day and then return 3 hours later to perhaps get a answer? By then I am tired and hungrylaugh

Perhaps (just a suggestion) it would be great we all meet a certain time for a hour or two discussing whatever hits our minds or perhaps (Ruth) could start the day with a question to start off a interesting conversation that could benefit us with more knowledge. If this is not a good idea then that is fine also. However you feel best, for I know everyone has certain things to do each day.

So here I put down a list of names that I have been seeing in this thread and ask what time do you usually come on to see what times we can meet together to chitchat each day.

as for me Mon. to Frid. 9am to 6pm / 9pm to 1am

Ruth
Jeannie
Krimsa
Jill
Abra
Invisible
ganonzyther

If I forgot someone I apologize. Please give me your time also:smile:

Smiless, I'm on at very random times... It's hard for me to really say when I can be. Some days I will have lots of free time and some times it will take a few days for me to come back ohwell I do like to discussion idea tho. flowerforyou

Makes alot of sense. So I guess one can learn both sides if wanted to. Never heard of a Catholic Witch, but okay if that is your calling and works best, then so be it. I am all for it.

I wouldn't know where I belong to tell you the truth. Probably will never know, but I don't mind learning about it.

In Jeannies thread on telepathy the author mentions that we perhaps at one time had seven senses. We have five as we speak, some claim they have a sixth sense. I know animals have this for sure. The seventh sense would be telepathy. I am sure that some witches have this ability also.

I would say that witchcraft is much more immense on studies then any mediterrenean mythology because it predates it. So there is much to learn indeed. I would just have to see what would be more of my calling. The most peaceful one that brings laughter and joy with good results would be my calling for sure. If such a witchcraft stands out the most from them all is yet to be researched on.

Like you say it is a craft, so whatever craft practices the most peaceful solutions to bring the biggest results is something I would admire. I would have loved to have such abilities when I worked for GreenPeace of the Red Cross. Actual healing powers would be most admirable indeed. Okay let me stop for I am already entering my fantasy world full of fairy tale creatures and magic of great powerslaugh

Yes I can see that my attempt to get everyone together at the same time will not work. No problem. It was worth the try:smile:

I agree but have also known Muslims when I lived in Turkey who gave a hard time to a Irish tourist who practiced Druidsm. I think primarily that many who don't know enough about a subject can get very offensive and violent about it speculating and making rash decisions on something they don't understand without researching about it. I am a very culturistic person having traveled to over 27 countries myself, so I never had this problem. As a matter of fact I always wanted to know more about a belief system or culture I wasn't accustomed to and later reflect on why it became that way because of the adaptation of society and area where they lived in. It is a great way of studying history by actually participating with the culture instead of just reading it out of books or researching on the internet.

I have done it before for a roleplaying game. It was fun, but you are right maybe it is not a good idea to get a bunch of witches together debatinglaugh

It doesn't matter how much a Christian understands about witchcraft. You could explain to them all day long what it is and that it is not Satan worship. The bottom line is that their religion teaches them that it is wrong and bad. You'll never get past that.

Well I never worshipped or represented any religion. I just tap into it and then run back out looking for something else to learn about.

I figure that if one doesn't show interest then they are definetly missing out on knowledge.

They simply refuse to learn about something they perceive as evil.

Exactly. Thats the bottom line, Smiless. What Ruth said. Druids are actually something totally different. They are pagans, yes, you are correct there, but they are a distinct cultural aspect as well. A druid was a member of the priestly and learned class in the ancient Celtic societies of Western Europe, Britain and Ireland. They were suppressed by the Roman government and disappeared from the written record by the second century AD.

Smiless do a search for Queen Boudicca of the Iceni tribe.

This is so true. The believe that ANYTHING outside of the bible is evil and wrong and connected with Satan. I however believe you can make anything as evil or good as your mind will allow. I have members of my family for instance that even believe Christian rock music is evil. If it's outside of a traidtional bible hymn, then it's wrong.

Well that Christian rock is wrong. I have to agree with them there. laugh laugh

Thank you for the advice but the Druid I spoke with in Turkey was a member of a Celtic Society who sat days teaching me about his culture and his belief system. It is a interesting part of history and I remember taking it in class in Germany also as we learn European History over there.

I eventually told him enough! It is time to explore Turkey and its culture.laugh

yes very true and very extreme here in the states. I mean I never experienced such extreme christian or catholic organizations in Germany. Maybe I was just in the right place at the right time. Actually the churches are empty everytime I went to one to look at its designings and architecture for there are some really big domes where I lived. It is rapidly declining in numbers in Europe as other interest groups are growing.

Smiless I dont even remember what the original question was anyway. Christians dont like Witches. I think that was the answer. I had to help some customers in the store, sorry.

I do believe that as we teach our children to think for themselves, we also take away from the churches. That does not mean that we take them away from any beliefs, just that they realize that churches are mostly about business and money.
