Abra... even if JB is 100% wrong in her beliefs. She's TOTALLY off base. Isn't the world just a little bit better off with a few more people that take full and 100 % responsibility for their actions? Regardless of why they do it... at least they do it. That's my thought on the subject anyway.

Jeannie wasn't arguing that we should take 100% responsiblity for our actions. Hells bells! Who would argue with that? Certainly not me! She was saying that we are 100% responsible for everything that happens to us! That's a far cry from taking responsibility for our own actions. Gee whiz. |

Clearly I understand JB, I simply disagree with the conclusions you are reaching and with good reason. Same here. I don't believe that I misunderstand the law of attraction. The law of attraction does not hold that we attract EVERYTHING to us. An abused child is not attracting abuse to themsleves. Or let me put it to you this way. If the law of attraction claims that absused children are attracting their own abuse then I simply don't believe in the law of attraction in that form. Period. But I doubt very seriously that it's saying that in the first place. |

But I doubt very seriously that it's saying that in the first place. In fact anyone who claims that this is the case can publish all the books they want. That's still not going to convince me that it's true. So it has nothing to do with readting books. I don't believe that abused children are responsible for attracting their own abuse. If that's what the law of attraction says then I don't believe in the law of attraction. It's as simple as that. But I seriously doubt that this is what the law of attraction actually holds anyway. |

That guy Marty sent me the strangest email and then deactivated. It was REALLY weird. Yeah, the one who got mad at me (or didn't, I'm not sure) and deleted me off his friends list. That whole thing was weird, but the email is really freaky. |

The only thing I understand about the law of attraction is the documentary dvd called "The Secret".
I have to watch it again, but I understand the main reason it is trying to convey. Positive thinking = positive energy = positive results So when I wake up knowing my day is good and great things will happen to me then I will most likely have a great day regardless of what is coming at me because my mind is set to it. Those who wake up saying they are going to have a hard day, because they have to beat the traffic, or deal with a unruly boss at work, or worry about the upcoming bill is going to be paid are extracting negative thinking, which equals negative energy into negative results. In otherwords the likelyhood of such a day would be greater. Now if there is the possiblity to avoid danger ahead of time is something I don't know how to do. For example as discuss in the room that when you drive a car and a drunk car hits you. Perhaps there is a way! Who are we to say there is not. Doesn't sound logical for most people, but perhaps there are ways to avoid certain catastrophes by using a certain sixth sense so to say. I don't know, but I don't hold everything out of the question. Thank you Ruth for allowing me to post in here, although I am not a Wiccan. Or am I a Wiccan? I don't know what I am! Just call me "the other" or something. |

smiless, none of are Wiccans.
This thread used to be all we had before they created the forum for "Other Religions". I just titled it Wicca because I knew it was a fairly recognizable name and would draw in "Others". We post all kinds of stuff in here. Sometimes it's not related to anything at all. Enjoy and welcome. |

Gee whiz. Well, I guess you have a point there. It is silly. I just thought she might be open to reason I guess. But you're right, it doesn't matter. I'm into witchcraft, and not the Law of Attraction anyway. I used to believe the two were very similar and related. However, if what Jeanniebean says is true (about the Law of Attraction saying that we attract everything that comes into our lives), then they aren't the same at all because Witchcraft does not hold that principle. So if Jeanniebean is right about the Law of Attraction, then it really has nothing at all to do with Witchcraft. It's a totally different concept. I used to support the Law of Attraction as basically being the modern version of Witchcraft. But perhaps I'm wrong about that. It sounds like it's a totally different concept altogether then. I guess I learned that I'm just wrong about what I thought the Law of Attraction was all about then. Owl accept that I was wrong, and I just won't discuss the Law of Attraction anymore, and owl denounce it as not having anything to do with Witchcraft then. Witchcraft does not hold that we attract everything that comes into our life. Big difference. If the Law of Attraction does hold to that concept, then it's not the same as Witchcraft. I'm just trying to get to the bottom of things. That's all. Owl confess that I haven't studied the Law of Attraction in detail, and now I'm even less interested in hearing about it than I was before. |

That guy Marty sent me the strangest email and then deactivated. It was REALLY weird. Thats arkdanimal. This is the 3rd time he's deactivated. NO WAY!!! Are you sure? Yep. That was Arkdanimal. Actually Sam and I confronted him about it on a thread an told him to just watch himself. Ya know just a warning for him not to act up like he did before but he continued to anyway. I think someone complained to a mod. He was giving you a hard time today on Smiless thread and then he deactivated. So either he did it himself or admin did. |
