Dude, her other thread is fine. Ease up abit man. Some of us get out there more than others. Nothing wrong with it. Some people don't get out ther as much as others. Nothing wrong with that either.

Dont worry about it. Ive been reading this forum for a few months. (and a few others) I am not a internet person so I was afraid to jump in but the nice thing about just reading for the last 2 months is I got to see how some of the forum people are. That guy that you just posted to is not someone whos opinion carries any weight in my world. There are a couple guys here who I would like to meet in real life and thats why I pick this forum to post in. |

Dan's opinions carry a lot of weight with me. He's one of the few people who actually has the balls to say what's on his mind, and damn the torpedoes. He pulls no punches, and I appreciate that in a person.
And no, he's not here to find a girl. He already has a very lovely girlfriend who is also a very intelligent member of this site. |

Personally I have multiple pics on here that I have taken and enjoy sharing with friends. Not too worried about meeting someone but if it happens it happens and if it doesn't well.....I have met many friends

Personally, I am not a big fan of it but, if everything was the way I wanted it...life would be pretty boring.... The only way I would post something like that is if was my actual work.....see below did it last night

I see many of you use cartoons as your main picture and many of you have other cartoons on your profile so I have to ask you. Aren't you trying to meet people for dating and don't you think the cartoon pictures hurt your chances because people can't see what you look like? I am not judging I am just curious. With some of you the cartoon you use almost becomes who you are. The ones with scary cartoons have me thinking the person is mean or scary. I don't think it on purpose but it seems I just associate you with your picture. Here's the way I look at it... If someone is going to judge their interest based on one picture ( that being the main one shown ) then that's the kind of person I probably wouldn't be interested in anyway. If the person takes the time to click on the profile, rather than just look at one pick and make their decision, they would see that I have several pictures of myself in my profile. What picture I use depends on what mood I am in. I have several that I use at different times. |

At first, I felt as you do about the cartoon pics and whatnot, but then I began to realize that sometimes the folks on this site (me included) just want to shoot the breeze for it's own sake. I can see how being creative with your default pic is fun and it does say something about personality. I agree though that not having any real pics or having old pics, or even fuzzy hard to see pics is kind'a telling in itself, as far as piquing a romantic interest goes...

If a woman is forum posting then your picture doesnt matter because we can read your words and we can click your profile if you sound interesting. If a woman is not forum posting but just looking through profiles then all she sees is your cartoon and it probably wont get her interested in clicking you. |
