I really never even notice it anymore until someone mentions it....
But people use pics of cartoons, animals, vehicles, sunsets, signs, lips, pics of three or seven or fifty people without ever saying which one is actually on the site -- I guess I just see it as an aspect of their personality (except for that multiple-people one, which is just really annoying). Self-expression can tell you a lot about a person, and self-expression comes in many different forms. Sometimes a pic of something says something meaningful about the person who is using it.... |

Depends on what you are on here for. I for one am NOT on here for dating.....anymore. I'm just on here for kicks. To see what is going on in the forums. Plus I have made a few friends along the way and I like to see how they are doing and what they've been up to.

Im here to meet people so when I visit a new place (I travel a lot) there will be someone there to show me around. I've been visiting places and meeting people but thats not always easy. I would like to meet some exciting people online, men or women, and then visit where they are and then I would have friends to show me around. |

On another site I belong to, you're only allowed to put up actual pix of yourself...& they have to show your entire face. Of course, some people will post pix of themselves that are quite a few years old or of another person entirely, so the point is rather moot... I enjoy the freedom of expressing myself in cartoon, Klingon Warrior, or natural form! It's fun & keeps the place interesting... |

Personally, I am not a big fan of it but, if everything was the way I wanted it...life would be pretty boring....
The only way I would post something like that is if was my actual work.....see below did it last night

Well, such images can relay as much information as some of these fuzzy, out of focus and date pix do. Some of us don't use glamorous pix. This one is actually a part of a piece of art I did called "Obsession." So . . . I guess it's a part of me at least. Maybe cartoons are that way for others.
