Can someone tell me when you would need a semiautomatic gun for hunting?

it's an alternative to Bolt Action. You're Still Limited to 5 Rounds in the Gun (in AZ anyway) but it Allows for a Faster Shot Group. I Really Own Semi Autos So I Can Blow the $hit out of Someone if they try to Rob Me!!!

My opinion is that the "bad guys" and government are always gonna have guns. Why take away the right for the good guys to protect themselves?????

If you don't like guns thats fine but don't interfere with our rights to own them you will look awful stupid the day we get invaded or if you are robbed and assaulted and the bastards getr away because some one could'nt hit them with the first shot . Out of my cold dead hands !

Honestly, the majority of gun deaths are not by semi-auto's. Nor are the killers legal gun owners.

The facts about who uses guns and who is most often the victim of gun related violence overwhelmingly show legal gun owners are not the problem.

There is an excellent book about guns and gun violence that's title I cannot recall right now. I should find it and post it. At any rate, it shows clearly that guns are not the problem people are.

Blaming guns for murder is like blaming fatty food for obesity. It's an easy answer that avoids the real problem. Peoples behaviors.

ok first off a semi auto just means you dont need to chamber the next round.....
ie a bolt or pump action.
your next round is done automatically.....
it in no way increases the rate of fire.....it fires with the rate of trigger squeeze.

a full auto...is pull and hold.

Police have Stated that they Have "Emptied" their Clips into People on Meth and Crack! So Yes Sometimes in Fact You Have to Shoot Multiple Times, Remember You Shoot to Stop the Attack Meaning You Keep Shooting til the Person or Persons are No longer advancing towards You. Rifles for Protection in a Home is a Pretty Dumb idea.

I have worked in executive protection....along side police departments in many countries......I agree with this 100%.

I don't have a problem with semi-auto rifles....they are extemely fun for shooting small moving targets (gophers and critters).....it is also very hard to commit crime with a rifle......I believe the problem here is how easy it is for the high population of un-educated dumba$$es we have in this country to get their hands on all kinds of guns....especially concielable handguns....now the crime problem has gotten so bad and all the dumba$$ criminals have handguns and are usually too stupid to think about the consiquences of thier actions.....so that leaves the rest of the responsible and smart citizens feeling afriad, and wanting to protect themselves and thier families....it a viscious cycle....but responsible(legal) gun owners are NOT the problem.....I do believe there could be more legislation on guns though....to make it not so easy for gangsta's to get thier hands on them......but in order for that to be successful the gov't would have to claim an all out war on the black-market gun trade that they themselves have created....

actually in the early to mid eighties...guns were allowed to be carried by all in one state...Florida.....crime dropped 90%
and one criminal was quoted as saying" its getting bad around here, you cant mug anyone without them pulling a gun on you"
maybe its less restrictions that are needed NOT more!!!

This sounds like the ideal weapon for someone in the service; who has others shooting at him/her. Shoot before being shot is my thoughts on this.

I have nothing bad to say about guns. I come from a family that hunts and that shoot at targets. We respect our weapons and take good care of them.

Yes, there are freaks out there and people who shouldn't be allowed to have them; but that's no different than people that shouldn't have kids! Can't stop them, either.
