I think these things are despicable, and I am the first one to agree that if you can't care and love a child for God's sake don't have them.

But a lot of abortion is done for the convenience of a mother's life. In the majority of those I disagree.

I know there's a time and place for everything .. so I am not against a mother's right. Just stand in the gap for irresponsible conception.

Like I said Krisma I was all pro-choice.....I have walked out of services....didn't feel the place of the church.....But I have changed my mind over the last 10 years and working with Avenues. You listen time and time to a young girl who was going to abort and then through Avenues changed her mind....and they bring the so called non lifes with them...Your staring into the faces of he babies that they chose to give life too. That is a beautiful thing. I remember when I had mine and I asked the nurse why so many hispanic ladie were in the clinic. Her response was thi was their form of birth control. I honestly don't think you read a thing I say. WHAT did I say? I don't agree with FORCING anything. it IS a mother's choice. But abortion is NOT birth control.

You don't even deal with the concept .. it is NOT birth control and yet is seen that way. Responsible educating is the answer. Just like our stance to change healthcare from fixing medical issues to being proactive in keeping the illnesses at bay.

This is such an emotionally charged topic that I hesitate to get involved. I am the "mother of a dead baby." And not exactly and entirely through choice, though I am glad for my own sake and the sake of my family that the option was available. I will not get into my reasons for aborting a very much wanted baby, they are my own and no one else's business. To this day, I am incredibly conflicted about what I did but would do again, if the situation necessitated. I take every precaution possible to avoid that situation. But, if I didn't have the option to have a safe and legal abortion, I would be dead and my only child would be motherless.

Speaking from experience, both my own and that of my friends, abortion is not a decision you simply walk away from when it is over. It is something you live with each and every day of your life. No one will ever judge a woman as harshly as she does herself for making this decision. We all have our reasons for doing what we do and we, and only we, have to live with it and God, and only God, should judge.

We walk in our shoes, we make choices no woman or man should have to make and we have to live with the consequences, regardless of what decision we make.

I see both the good and bad points of view from both sides of the argument, having lived on both sides as well. And I guess the only thing I have to say is women, do NOT put yourself in a position where you HAVE to make this agonizing, life changing decision. If you cannot afford to have a baby, if the timing is wrong, whatever, THINK about your sexual activity beforehand. Because the decisions you have to make afterward will change who you are and there is NO going back.

But, if that decision is forced on you, you SHOULD have a right to decide for yourself what is right for you and your body.
