Oh I'm so sorry.

Well...coming here is a nice start. Just get out on the forums and post, join in the fun. That is the best way to meet people and let them get to know you.

You're welcome. Anything I can do to help, I will. That is what I thought it was so important to have a widow/er board. Because these issues come up all the time in emails between us and re entering the dating world is at least as important as other things we have to deal with.

Well and there are all kinds of things we deal with. I belonged to an online bulletin board/chat for widows/ers and you'd be amazed at the things that come up. When do you stop wearing your rings? (and how all of that makes you feel) Cleaning out clothes, dating again, kids meeting someone new and feeling like they are a "replacement".

Empty nest is tough and going from work/home/work/home doesn't keep life from feeling empty. Eventually you will hit the wall if you don't find something you enjoy and rest. Scarey waking up in CardioICU.

Here are a couple of things I did after my husband passed away a year ago March:
I immediately got a sofa-bed so I could sleep in the living room when I wanted.
Tore up the lawn in the backyard to make an English garden.
Got a Miniature Schnauzer.

But, I'm still in a vacuum of sorts. The crying subsided except for an outburst now and then. Just in a bubble watching the world go by.

Did I say the crying subsided some? Here I am right now with my throat all tightened up and tears running down my face. The last thing my husband said to me was, "Don't cry, Jo. It'll be okay."
