Topic: Why does everyone think Im angry? | |
---|---|
So I happen to be very opinionated, forthright and not afraid of conflict. When I strongly believe in something I defend it as is my right and duty to do so...why does that translate in other people as me being angry??
Does this happen to you? Do you think it happens more to women than men, since women generally are assumed to be passive and non-confrontational??? This place is starting to give me a complex.... |

You're angry and you have built a wall the size of China around yourself.
If you look at it from a 3rd party point of view, don't look welcoming. |

Maybe it would help if you smiled in your picture. I have a very stoic personality,..... |

"Catch more flies with sugar than vinager."
Maybe you could try saying thinks a little softer. Being to direct can make you seem angry, when you aren't. Gwen had to teach me that. Take an extra few seconds before you speak. Think about what your going to say. Try to think of soft words to express what you want. Doing that has made a big differance in my life. People don't think I am so harsh anymore. Smiling just a little helps also. |

May be your picture.
Two words....Body language..... Uncross the arms, don't lean forward and smile Thats my 2 cents worth..... |

Sugar, people who judge you and don't know you have no idea, I adore you... you and I are alot alike. We calls em' like we see's em'... and for people who live in "Niceville" that disrupts their delicate sensibilities.
Don't sweat it, they are the ones with the issues...not you. Don't change, or then I'll be angry.... And no one wants that wrath... Side note: Society puts this submissive persona on women like it's our duty to please people... F*CK THAT NOISE... You're a good person.... |

Have you tried anger management???????? Im not angy..just opinionated, there's a difference. I had a girlfriend that was "very opinionated." She was angry and the very fact that she has strong opinions about everything showed her to be tense and angry. The world has a million things, why take an opinion on so many things? Pick a few and try to see all sides of the story I take opinions with the follow: don't give aide to Africa, sociopaths in insane institutions should be put to death, rap sucks, the 80s ruled, Vista blows, Calibri text on Office '07 is a bad font, etc... There you go and I have many more but I don't go on spouting out every opinion I have, what's the point? |
