So I happen to be very opinionated, forthright and not afraid of conflict. When I strongly believe in something I defend it as is my right and duty to do so...why does that translate in other people as me being angry?? Does this happen to you? Do you think it happens more to women than men, since women generally are assumed to be passive and non-confrontational??? This place is starting to give me a complex.... 
....just reposting to get back to the original topic....

Clearly it happens to women more than men..we are not supposed to be strong or have opinions, or defend what we believe in. We are supposed to be cute and nice and gentle so that insecure males can feel strong. SCREW THAT. |

I am all for strong, opinionated women who stand by what they say
At times it's not what is said but how it is said (better yet how it is interpreted). The sad thing is that once something is said, it is open to interpretation and there are soooo many people on the defensive that naturally would take an opinion that doesnt match their own to be taken as aggressive or claim that the person is mad. Does not reflect the person speaking but rather the person interpretating the statement. Speak up ladies and be heard
