I HAVE A 13 YR OLD GIRL THAT IS OUT OF CONTROL. SHE HAS BEEN SUSPENDED FROM SCHOOL SEVERAL TIMES THIS YEAR, BEEN LOCKED UP IN JUVY OVERNIGHT, AND CONSTANTLY CUSSES ME AND HER MAMAW OUT. I HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING I KNOW OF TO GET HER TO GET CONTROL OF HER ACTIONS. SHE IS CURRENTLY ON MEDICATION FOR HER ANGER ISSUES AND SHE IS ON PROBATION. WHAT CAN A SINGLE MOTHER OF 3 DO? I HAVE NO CLUE WHAT IS GOING ON IN HER MIND. SHE WONT TALK TO ME AND I AM DEVASTATED ABOUT ALL THIS.
I DONT WANT HER BROTHERS TO END UP LIKE THE WAY SHE IS RIGHT NOW. I TELL MY SONS NOT TO ACT LIKE THEIR SISTER BUT HER TWIN BROTHER IS STARTING TO ACT OUT. I CAUGHT HIM SMOKING CIGS YESTERDAY AND I REALLY BLEW A FUSE THEN. CAN ANYONE GIVE ME SOME SUGGESTIONS ON WHAT I SHOULD DO? I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE IT. |

Call Dr. Phil. He will send her to a behavior modification school. You might have to go on TV, but he'd foot the bill. I'd do it if I had to.

ok so she is on medication becasue anger...........have u ever thought she has i mean she is bipolar they have constant mood swings my ex has that .and your daughter seems seemilar too everything he got into truble like u need help hit me uop at my page like afirned iam a child development major ill be glad too help u in this

a childrens boot camp in Texas. (Works wonders, for out of control kids.)

Hate to say it but maybe boot camp and a couple months in juvy would do the trick..I have a twin sister who had the same problem and she tried your route and she now regrets it. The kids are in their 20's and they are worthless as hell. Gotts get control of the situation quick or you will lose your grip. Being an ex cop I know

i have no degree...but lots of experience. i was one of those wild childs. i have dealt with many over the years. kids will do what they KNOW they can get by with...jerk a knot in her tail!!! when she knows you arent messing around and will NOT tolerate ANY BS, she will start to turn around. tough love...hardest thing you will ever do when it comes to your children. you have to be hard.

seriously, if i breathed the wrong way when i was younger my mom wuld go foot to ass on me, then id have to wait in my room for my dad who would then also correct me. kids get away with so much bull**** because parents are SOFT and forget all the high priced couseling and drs and meds and ****, a nice helping of foot to ass will be more then enough medication |

Family counseling is good too.....she may be having some inner turmoil that she can't talk to you about....whatever you decide to do, just keep consistant....prayers coming your way.

I have 2 teenage boys and 1 teenage girl..We have been through the gamet of life stuff...as suzyQ stated...family counseling is a great option...and being a single mom ...individual counseling is and option too...for the immediate problems.. try to understand the situations that come up from your kids perspective. Blaming and accusing only builds up more walls and ends all communication. Tell them how you feel, stick to facts, and deal with the present moment. Show that you care and show your love. Work towards a solution where everyone gets something, and therefore feels okay about the resolution. Remember that anger is the feeling and behavior is the choice.

Yikes, mine is 13 too She told me there is a girl at her school pregnant! Ask at the school if they have some kind of counseling or a list of recourses. Like a tough love group |
