I have been an illegal alien and a guest worker ... The difference is that as a guest worker you are allowed to work, as an illegal alien you are not. Im European. The UK has found a way of getting the legal and illegal immigrants to leave. The goverment make it so bloody expensive to live here that everyone wants to leave!!! But, I wonder should I have come into this thread when there is so much hypocrisy in the world i must agree with your last line for sure

well what country does not have a label illegal alien Please tell me a country other than America uses those terms.........in European countries they are called Guests or Guest Workers those are the legal ones the united states has those as well They do but they dont mean the samething...........look instead of jumping to conclusions I would love for everyone to go to the site uscis.gov and look at all what it takes to be legal and the money that it takes to stay in this country.......my father although he had the state pay for his immigration services he still had to shell out 10,000 for fees and it took 5 years to do what he had to do........its so easy to talk when you are here well im telling you from the other side.........you have no idea........and its disrespectful for you to tell people that they arent doing wht they need to do when its a long process coming for everyone Your father did things the right way & why should others be allowed to take shortcuts? I bet he is very proud of what he accomplished & has every right to be! Please I want to know what is the right way if we are talking about that then the I think the illegals have the right to be here since it was their state to beging with especially New Mexico, Texas, and Cali........man are we so caught up im me we really forget the rights of others or now we want to hold this so called almighty thing about whats right and wrong and what legal and not when this country not at one millisecond did that ..............its trully hypocritical...........where are your ancestors from and if you can say they trully originated in america then I can give you the benefit of the doubt about illegal immigration......

lol the reason i have been staying out of general and chit chat (unless a good topic or a friend) and coming in here or religion is this....if people are going to argue and there might be drama...at least it's about a good topic lol JMO

Ugh, I have no problem with people coming here legally, but the hurdles should be very high. In fact, becoming a citizen in the U.S. is a lot easier than most other post-industrialized nations like in Europe. You have to LIVE in half of these countries for sometimes at least twenty years just to be ELIGIBLE for citizenship. Not just anyone should be able to come here; we don't need the trash, because God-knows, we and Americans make enough of it here at home as-is. I think we need a closed borders policy that works in conjunction with a stricter immigration standard. That said, the U.S. should NOT be used by other peoples as a refugee camp--that should be considered a federal offense, imo.

I don't know enough about the immigration situation to make a intelligent opinion. So, I leave that to the experts that have done the research. While I don't condone II's being here, I try to see it through their eyes, also. That poem on the plaque of the statue was written to express how others see our greatness, whether they be French, Italian, Jewish, English, Eygyption, Russian, African, Columbian, Canadian and maybe Mexican. I am curious about their not paying taxes though. From what I see and hear many of them have fake socials, so I "assume" that come payroll, taxes are deducted like everyone else. The only difference may be that they don't file their taxes every year, thereby not getting returns..... Now, I am just assume(ing) and you know what they say about that... The Bear is now in the woods.....
