I truly believe that more people are going to need help. I have a friend that builds houses. He isn't getting enough work. The companies that rent from him can't pay their rent because they aren't getting enough work. The houses aren't selling here either. I filled the gas tank up today. The cost has risen again. I went to the grocery store and was surprised at how much the price of food has increased. It's not looking good.

Way more citizens fraud the welfare then illegals do. does that make any sense???? illegal is illegal implying fraud, lying etc. what about those that get free medical???? They do not get free medical. If they go to a county hospital needing emergency care the hospital has the choice of serving them or not. But they get no medical from us otherwise. You would be surprised at how many of them actually pay their bills. I have seen it so I know. The hospitals bill them just like they do us and they actually pay. This is because someone here has illegally employed them here. you are too funny. yes the hospitals have an obligation to treat them. if it's a private hospital...they pget them to where they can be transfered to a non-private hospital. I LIVE IN A BORDER STATE. it's bad enough we ahve to pay for he dead beats (which if you were following along...i said legals do it too) but we shouldn't have to pay for illegals. do you know how many cross the border in border states to give birth????? who do you think pays the bills for them...or if an illegal is sick??? And the problem with the stats provided by legitimate government sites is that the indigent amount of cost to the hospitals is not broken into legal or illegal amounts, it is all lumped together so we really do not know the cost of the illegals in this case. There are way more citizens who do not pay their bills then their are illegals who do not pay is the reality here. But propaganda machines want us to believe that we are shelling out billions of dollars. When it isn't accurate. coming from the woman that believes what her propaganda says???? just because it doesn't support what you believe doesn't make it propaganda. do you live in a border state????? do you know how many illegals try to cross and are successful???? i have a close friend in the army doing border patrol down there. it's usually easy to tell who is illegal...they don't have work visas or SS#. go visit brownsville and other towns like that. who is hatemongering????? $1 to pay is too much

Well I pay taxes and I don't mind helping my fellow man out.It's the kids who really suffer.When I was young and had no kids living with me,I clawed my way back up from homelessness .Due to the ecomnomy and the high price of gas and food,many working class people are seeking food stamps etc.I myself have a housing subsidy due to the high rents in my area.I can't afford over 1000 dollars a month rent,sorry if that makes me a low life leech.Nobody I know who is on welfare owns boats and ****.Most don't have cars or TV.Just because some abuse the system,let's not stereotype the rest. then you help them, I don't feel it is my responsibility to pay for a social program. The majority who are on it abuse it. It was set up to be abused and keep a class of people contained really?Because here you can only be on it 2 yrs and the put you into a job training program.I would rather pay for that,then feed ,educate and dress the criminals serving time in prison.People can be as responsible as hell and still have their world crash around them.Empathy is a lost art as far as I'm concerned. There is a time limit in my city too. I think it may be 4 or 5 yrs. I'm not sure. Yes, responsible people can have their world crash around them. Empathy - oh, yes, that's a good word.

Rob, you are sounding so cold. Many hardworking families are only a paycheck away from being homeless. All it would take is one medical emergency. the system was designed to abuse. Anyone who uses it is abusing it It is there for people that fall on hard times. They want to feed their children. you cannot tell me a person on it for more than a month is not abusing. How can people keep pumping out units when they cannot afford to feed the ones they already have winx? They are the minority. They are ignorant girls that have no hope for the future. Education is the key to breaking that cycle. I know somebody on it. She got crippling arthritis at an early age. She has one child. She works when she can but finds it hard to keep a job when she has to take off when her fingers start curling up from the arthritis. Each situation is different. Seeing other humans as humans and worthy of the rights and respects of humans is a start and then after that realize the different situations each person is in is unique and unlike your life and struggle. Take away the prejudice you were taught and continue to perpetuate and the world would be a better place to live.

Life time limit is five years for welfare, two years at time. They have to be going to school or work preparedness to even recieve a check and then they have to keep going to continue to get a check. Clinton implemented the welfare reform when he was in office and I helped to set it up here in Denver when it went into law.

lol dragon...you assume way too much...you can hear them while the nurse etc helps them fill out paperwork and they don't have (not just not know) SS# or visas not to mention i know people on border patrol and people that work in the hospitals. i used to do medical billing. i have seen it first hand and know people dealing with it first hand. you sit behond a desk and read the surveys etc that fit your thinking. my best friend in HS was mexican and would be (and has been) saying the same as me. he had been in the US a year before we became friends....him and his family did it the right way and got the work visa for the dad and visas for the other kids and worked to get citizenship.

The issue here is to stop employing them, reinforce the borders, etc..... Not have hate fests, they are struggling to live too, we have to recognize the human struggle. But I do believe we should be doing something about the employers who employ them and then reiforcing our borders to make us more safe.
