The comparisons between what we have now and Hilter's regime are fairly bold and easy to see. The standing point being, what our founders gave us, Liberty and Freedom protected by a bill of rights and a constitution are fairly new, in comparison with Tyranny and oppression. I cannot believe I just read someone defending Hitler...  im not defending hitler... hello??? im pointing out a TRUTH. he was evil of course..... duhhhhh. That doesent mean he couldent recognise something for what it is. |

You might want to reread that book then, it obviously made some intelligent, coherent and well thought out points, but wait, you don't seem to know jack about the Just war theory or how,when and why Iraq had, and thats the key word:HAD, the 4th largest military in the 80's. You wanted to make it sound like they still had that might when we invaded this go around.
Maybe you need some assigned reading. You don't have to say you're a bush fan, I mean, really, you played devils advocate for hitler and you've essentially stood up for Bush policies, plus you took a comment so far beyond the scope of context that you made the statement that you called the secret service on another poster. If that doesn't sound like a Bush Acolyte/Brownshirt, I don't know what does. But when you can't keep up, to the point that all you can come up with is: Comrade, Yawn, blah blah blah, then why post? For christs sake, say something with some value. |

i guess i would take time to vote mcpain if for no other reason than hes a veteran....which is something i respect greatly. plus Billary scares me to death. A total lack of morals with a history of all the lies and scandals. Insufficient data on oblama but he seems textbook liberal/ commie to me. obviously Billary and oblama will be the commie/liberal ticket.... anyone miss that? whoever wins the primary will appoint the other for vice. duhhh.

You can't just accept history, you have to understand it, learn from it and use it to keep from making the same mistakes.
When a maniac has the control of the Vehicle, everyone in the car is at risk, thats the analogy of Dubyah's presidency, He's a madman behind the wheel and we're all going over the cliff if we can't get control of the nut behind the steering wheel. It sure won't get any better with the 3 that's being trumpeted right now, just more crazies grabbing at the wheel. The Just war theory is just one side of many different governing concepts. The NeoConservatives believe and practice the Trotsky principle of Permanent Revoloution (read perpetual war)which does not find itself anchored with any morality. When it comes to disecting and digesting Presidential policies, the devil is in the details, those ABC's. I know I don't know everything, Hell, the older I get, the more I realize just how much I don't know. What I do know, however, I have no qualms about standing up for. I refuse to support immoral war, horrible domestic policies. I adamantly refuse to stick up for torture, corporate favoritism, bail outs and corruption. I would sacrifice my blood sweat and tears to protect the Sovereignty of our Nation, which Bush has been selling off, without Congressional oversight with his little SPP. What he's doing with that is treason against the Republic in my estimation. To say that by piecing together who did what and why has no relevance seems stunningly naive to me. Have you never heard of blowback? To ignore history dooms us all to repeat it. Where have I posted rhetoric or half truths? To Lindyy- Sorry if that broad statement about Bush supporters lumps you in, but to be honest, I just call 'em how I see 'em and I see the Entire Neoconservative movement as a cancer that has been eating our nation away since its conception.
