Do bit of a filtering,
Age & location first. Then read the profile. If person has been posting and it’s a long one I’ll read it all. Otherwise just catch the highlights before my eyes glaze over. Of course checking out all the pics is mixed in there some where. I’ll check the interests and if they have kids … kinda like that I really like the idea of a link to check out the persons last few posts to get a better idea of who they are. |

I’ve always said, I live in a construction zone, spiritually, mentally, physically, and in my relationships. Guess I just like to continually improve. Like the softer view of art work… hummmm will consider that. |

Hi Alex, Welcome -
As you see I haven’t been here too long either , but am enjoying it. Enjoyed your post and if I may pick a sound bite from it, knowing it’s out of context. “as humans we are like a cancer on this planet...no respect for the abundance and beauty around us or for each other...and now we expect to see it here?” Being a tree hugging granola, I often find myself viewing the human race in this way. Just the same, each one of us can choose to add our beauty to this planet while we are here and that’s what I plan on doing |

My brother was into building muscle cars. Put a modified 289 into a 68
mustang coup. Had headers straight into cherry bombs. They ended about where the front seats were… wooooo Feel the power. It was bright yellow - called it Tweety He let me take it one night, was 16, too much power in a light car for a punk and that dang ditch was way too close and certainly in the wrong place. |

Thanks Lex, To be fair, there are some like you, who do respond when
interacted with. And that feels good. Not that I’m here to lift my Feel Good quotient, but to spend time in a community, be acknowledged and have positive interactions is kinda of the point. |

Guess I missed the part where an introduction made it all nice & fuzzy
with the “old group”. Was invited into the forums from an “Old group” member and actually had an introduction, some folks said hi. Have been posting little over a month and have made a couple very nice connections. I do have to say though, I hadn’t figured it out, but now this and a few other threads explain it. There have been several threads that I’ve posted on and had absolutely no response in return. Even when a (pleasant) comment was directed towards another. I’m beginning to see the separation and in my experience, Some of the “old” crowd are not much interested in chatting with folks outside of a small circle. I’m not offended and I’m in no way wining about it. Just offering my experience and observation. Maybe I need to re-introduce myself……… |
