On a diet. Last thing I ate was an apple, and a handful of seasoned croutons (they actually make a pretty good snack if you are craving crunchy junk-food).

Walk away. I still might go back to teaching one day. Getting caught around somebody who was doing drugs might be enough to prevent that from ever happening.

Hmm...Thanks to the universe for: not allowing the big power outage yesterday to extend to my house.

I have to say, as far as the profiles go, I tend to look more at what the profile says, then what the photos show. As far as photos, I like something that shows the person's sense of humor or personality. I also have to agree with some of Lex's input. I don't mind weird angles, as long as there are some normal ones too, (and obviously, cleavage shots aren't gonna do a whole lot for me) but I can agree with just about everything else he said.

I enjoy cooking and baking, though I tend to stick to simple recipes and comfort foods, I have been told that I am good at it.

People who don't say hello
|
|
I greet anyone who is a reasonable distance from me when I am out (walking, working, exercising, or shopping). It's a nice thing to do, and I enjoy seeing people smile.
When I was returning to my apartment late (I walked everywhere in College, I'm not so good at this now) I made a point of greeting anyone close to me. It made me feel safer, because I knew that THEY knew that I had seen them and was alert to their presences. |

Why Do You Have To Drink?
|
|
I'm with you on this one. I have little interest in drinking. I'll have a cocktail with friends, but I almost always drink less then they do, and often abstain entirely (I end up stuck as DD a lot, which is sometimes annoying). Even on a night when I am drinking, I can make one or two last me for 4 hours.

I wouldn't mind finding someone to fall in love with (only if the feeling is mutual, otherwise things are likely to be awkward!)but I mostly signed up because I have no clue where or how to meet people! Especially not where or how to meet guys that I might be interested in.

Lets see...A 1220 on my SATs (that was good back when I took them, I hear they added stuff and the scoring is different now), Achieved my BS in Education in 2007, working on a Masters Degree in Adult education now (Currently maintaining a 4.0 average).
I have other, smaller, sillier accomplishments, like reading the first Twilight novel in one night (started around 6pm, finished at 2am) or pulling a 12 page all nighter starting at midnight the night it was due, and turning it in a noon that day to achieve a B+ from the hardest English prof on campus. |

I have a tiny handbag. Contents at the moment: Checkbook (no checks, contains ID, bank card, couple of store "club" cards, coins, and some receipts), Lip gloss, panty liner, pack of colgate "whisp" toothbrushes, and some papers/tickets left over from last weeks NHRA drag races.
/removes NHRA ticket, papers, and receipts. |

HAIR

I've done this a few times. My problem is waiting for my hair to get to the 10 inch mark. I usually get annoyed with it before it gets anywhere near that (especially in the California summers now!) and chop it off.
I'm working on letting it grow out again. We shall see if I make to to 10 inches this time or not. |

I joined with the hopes of meeting somebody (I have no idea where an adult goes to meet people in the real world. Work's off limits, I'm not going to school anymore (classes are online), bars kinda suck (at least the ones I've been too) and it doesn't seem likely that i'm going to bump into Mr. Right at the checkout line of the grocery store).
I visit the forums because it's fun. |

Home made chocolate covered cherry oatmeal (great for a hearty breakfast, and tastes better then boxed instant oatmeal)
For each serving: 1/2 cup oatmeal (I like the texture of Old Fashioned oatmeal, but for quicker cooking, use "quick" or "1 minute" oats) 2 teaspoons brown sugar 1 heaping teaspoon of powdered non-dairy creamer or dry milk (use more if you like creamier oatmeal) 1 scant tablespoon cocoa powder small handful of dried cherries, chopped. To prepare: Mix ingredients above with 1 cup of water in microwave safe bowl. Microwave on medium for 5 minutes if you used old fashioned oats, or 2 on high for quick oats. One small can of oats will make about 10 servings. Mix ingredients in individual plastic baggies on the weekend so that you don't have to worry about measuring things before you've had your coffee. Variations: You can change the mix ins to almost anything Peanut butter cup oatmeal: Cocoa powder and peanut butter chips OR spoonful of peanut butter. Almond Joy oatmeal: Cocoa powder, almond butter or almond extract and coconut flakes Tropical oatmeal: Chopped dried pineapple, dried mango, and use coconut milk in place of some of the water Healthy version: Use the protein powder you would normally use in a shake in your oatmeal instead (I haven't tried this one). |
