Why does there have to be so much drama in the forums. When I joined, I had so much fun, knocking around, telling funny stories, flirting for the sake of fun, making new and lasting friendships and above all using my time on JSH/Mingle as an escape for excitement and adventure. I haven't been around much since October. The anger and disappointment that I see made me very sad. I hope that those with broken hearts will mend, those that are unhappy find a moment to unleash a smile or two, those that seek a fulfilling relationship, find one and embrace it, and those that enjoy meeting people of different races and cultures, learn from their new friends as I have. Always remember that when someone writes something, it can be interpreted in so many different ways. I rarely take anything personal, and why should I. Most of you don't know me, so you don't have a clue about what makes me tick, or for that matter what makes anyone tick. I just want to have fun, put a smile on someones face and project a positive attitude in everything I may say or do. Thanks for that. Possibly the best post I've seen on here. And OK, I'll be nice. You can hold me to it.

I've been told that same thing by my ex, Sue. I think I smile at everyone but it only gets noticed when its a cute lady. So, that being the case, I think it's fine. lol
Seriously, I never minded when my girl was admired by others...kinda liked it actually and I know she's going home with me. I think guys my age (and perhaps women too) mostly have no ulterior motive or bad intentions when we smile a bit to long, we just like to see if we can get it back. |

I agree that people throw the F word around way too much and I'm particularly bothered when I hear people using it in public or around older, gentle folk. It's rude. People take it differently though. A guy in New York City who I accidentally bumped said "FU!" when I said "Excuse me". I jumped right in his face and said "No MF FU!!" and he freaked out. Here in Louisiana thems fighting words. Other places they just accept it as a simple statement.
I think someone should create a new word, just please not "frack". Weed for medicine? I think we should be able to ingest whatever we like in our own homes, for medicial, recreational or whatever use we want. |

I do from everyone except for from my parents. When my Dad does it, it breaks my heart. When my Mom does it....well, it just breaks my heart plus a little more. When it comes to Daddy,even at 54, it still hurts me too,if it is critical answer.As for others,they may teach me something new.I don't ask if I don't want an answer and at times I agree to disagree. My dad was an artist and a genius and my best friend. But he was so passive and mellow that he never really criticized me, just gave me advice. Terse little tidbits that you hear now and understand in a flash later. And he never asked me questions when he knew the answer already. Before he died he told me that my family resented me because I used to have so much and I could have "done anything that I wanted to do". (I dropped two two successful computer/engineering companies and took off on my bike for...some years. Just riding.) I told him "Pop, I did". And he understood that immediatley. REALLY understood it. Never said another word about it. The one person in my life that I would listen to, whom I deferred to as my superior (in every way) and he never gave me criticism, only advice. I'd have been a better person had I valued it more than my own ego. Listen to your folks, your friends and your kids. They love you. And they ain't going to be around forever. |

Seriously, my life is and always has been solving problems. The go to guy. So it's hard to take criticism that isn't constructive. But I didn't get to be the go to guy without listening and learning from others. AS I mellow and my neurons go from racing to pacing, I'm finding it easier to listen to others opinions...before I decide they're wrong.

If I'm wearing Berlutis or John Lobbs, you can know that I appreciate comfort over economy. Judge someone? No, but clothing can reveal a lot about how one wishes to be seen by others. Leather jacket or Bill Blass blazer. Stetson hat or NY woolie pullover. It says something, but not enough to judge.

Finally!! I think that it's hard to remember those that care about you in the day to day when you don't see them much and lifes so busy. Just yesterday my friends Angel, Tamara, Bonnie and a few more all told me they loved me. And I didn't even fix anything for them. Crazy but I think this heart failure is going to be good for me. I mean...before it kills me. lol

My weekend. Wow. Had a MAJOR heart attack Sunday 1pm. Got 2 stents Sunday. BP 85/55. Two more Yesterday. My weekend sucked. Today aint too great either. lol Sending you love and prayers for a speedy recovery and hoping the rest of this week and the weekend coming will see sun and happiness for you!!

well you just do as the doctors tell you and get better soon ummmmm...I got tired of being in there and left yesterday..AMA. I'm at work. WHAT you better learn to slow down sweetie what kind of work do you do I do computer programming and hardware. Network administration..all computer and electronic stuff. But I also, from time to time, pour & finish concrete, lay brick, etc. For the last month I'm running a friend/clients pet grooming shp because he had to get surgery yesterday to fuse some vertabrae. I missed work yesterday. I'm taking aspirin and Plavix. |
