I have 4 including one down my spine that took two artists 14 hours to do and one that was hand picked with a deer bone needle (by my grandfather). Yikes! |

I think Tatoo's are beautiful, some are really great works of art. I myself have heard so many horror stories on the pain I have been to chicken to follow through.. I have gone so far as to draw the one that I want. I feel the same way about them, but am also afraid of the pain. Maybe one day I will get over my fear of the pain, and get me one. I have dated men who have had several and it always was a turn on for me. The pains not bad depending on where you get them. Even my most painful one didn't hurt worse than a bee stinging me (100,000 times). Seriously, after the first 30 seconds or so, it's just numb and really doesn't hurt at all. On the spine of where muscle/tendons attach to bone is the worst. Thick muscle tissue, the least painful. |

Consider yourself lucky that you didn't go on 5 dates before something went wrong. Probably married or something.
The worst thing thats ever happened to me is one did show up. A rather disingenuous lady with some serious issues. Now I know what you're thinking and no, she was NOT my type. lol |

Why the title? Dont you vote? The mere ability to vote does not confer representation by the government. Sure it does! No, it absolutely does not. You vote for someone because they say what they'll do...then they just go ahead and do whatever they want to anyway. The entire system is corrupt and if you don't know it, you're not living in the real world. There are the select few that are relatives, friends or contributors that get the deal that they wanted from their representatives, but it ain't us, the common man, getting representation. |

Not a one. But I've been to Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, Yosemite, Sequioa Natl Forest, Carlsbad, ...too many more to list (or remember). The US has plenty to see and I prefer natural to man-made. lol

And, especially for you Lex:
A pessimist is a man who thinks all women are bad. An optimist is a man who hopes they are. (Chauncey Mitchell Depew) Be to her virtues very kind, Be to her faults a little blind. (Matthew Prior) Have a good night all. I am outta here. |

If a woman has to choose between catching a fly ball and saving an infant's life, she will choose to save the infant's life without even considering if there are men on base. (Dave Barry)
And, it has been said that a woman would rather have beauty than brains because men generally see better than they think. |

Theres two people in everyday life and here. Theres dishonest people and honest ones. And people lie for different reasons. Insecurity is probably the big one. You can be whatever you want to be here...until someone who actually is asks you ONE question or you forget ONE thing you typed way back when. Then your cover is blown. lol
I'm quite sure that at least small percentage of the "regulars" on here are not who they say, do not do what they say they do, do not react the same way in life as they appear to here, etc. And I suspect a few are living in mommys basement collecting severed heads as their "real" friends. (You know who you are) lol I really can't accept that someone is a "success" or even psychologically sound that has the time/inclination to be here 24/7 as a member of these silly little cliques, creating useless threads ad-infinitum and replying to every post on here...all day and night long. Misery loves company, so you guys keep on "loving" each other...virtually. I've met a few people on here and have not been disappointed as far as them being genuine. I do like to hear the opinions of others, even if they are 180 degrees out from my own but I'm not inviting anyone to my home until I KNOW them..and you just can't do that here. But heres a start. The honest person here isn't looking like Tom Cruise after makeup, does not own a Lamborghini, and has some opinions that everyone doesn't agree with, and does not answer every question like a diplomat. Now excuse me, my pilot has informed me that my private jet is fueled and awaiting my arrival for my trip to the Riveria. |

I think that they should if the company can afford it.
Newborns are a handfull, to say the least. And who's to say that that little one doesn't need to bond with daddy too? And this from experience, NOTHING buys you favor from the old lady like "Honey, you take the day off and go shopping I'll stay home and watch (your babys name here)". |

when someone has a disability or is overweight for any reason or born red, blue, yellow, white, black, etc and people attack them you feel their pain and I am not afraid to say get tears in my eyes sometimes. As for being a moderator, I am human and have emotions and I volunteer willingly to make this site fun for all. OK, Well I do understand that. Have not seen it but I do understand that and have zero respect for people who poke fun people...except jerks. I also don't like people to point out my natural lack of hair! lol But I'm not stressin' over it. Its good to have a heart and, in spite of reports otherwise, have a pretty good one myself. In my LIFE, not here, I help people every single day. Those that don't have the means or know-how to help themselves mostly but there are a few rich, ignorant folk that are on my list. I just don;t know who to believe and who to disbelieve on here. This is not my first site and I've known more than one person online who is begging for any attention they can get, truth or lies. I could write a list of people who are "dying of cancer" who, six months later, are online again with a different name and who are fine. People get too caught up in this I think. Theres plenty to do for the guy down the street who can't get out to mow his grass or that couple without a way to work to "virtually" help people with typewritten sympathetic statements. If I were to consider "helping" anyone here, I'd pick the first five people with over 20,000 posts on here and invite them out to eat, go skiiing or sailing..and see the outside world. It's not so bad there. Great post, Free ... Listen, I'm perfectly aware that I'm percieved as one of the "jerks" on here by some. And thats fine. I'd REALLY be on the s**tlist if I wrote every time I called BS! lol But I'm a realist and was born a long time ago. I'm skeptical of a lot that I hear, especially when I hear the same person somewhere else saying something different. And I'm not feeling sorry for anyone who is just lazy, mean or talking out of his/her depth. It's difficult for me to feel sorry for someone who "lost their job" when they're still able to spend 23 hours a day on here. I've lived in NYC, Lincoln Park, NJ, San Fran, Seattle, Phoenix, Houston, Dallas and in my isolated cabin in the middle of nowhere Texas. I just landed at all those places without a bankroll or knowing a soul and always managed to find work...if not immediatley, the internet. And, eventually a friend or two. Good advice is more useful to someone in need, in pain, or fear than sympathy can ever be. Sometimes it isn't easy to hear. But I've taken a bit myself. |

See, Kojak, I was right! I KNEW you were up to something behind those shades! Good post! Had to hide the anger, and sometimes tears.... Wow. Anger and even tears over threads in the forums? I would think that such sensitivity to THIS would preclude one from even being a moderator. Or wanting to be. Is that a paying job and is it worth worrying over? And it's not good to bury anger or pain. Thats how you get heart attacks. I generally think that people can take care of themselves and since you do have to be 18 to sign up, that they are not babies, and can handle what someone says on here. I've been attacked a few times for my responses (lack of belief in political correctness over simple truth) but never called Moderator on anyone. Wouldn't even want to know how. If I want to cry, I can turn it off and bask in the reality that most of the people on here are on like 24/7 with apparently nothing else to live for. And I do. |

March 3, 2009 -- Fisker Automotive, the new American manufacturer of premium green automobiles, debuted in Europe today the world’s first luxury plug-in hybrid vehicles during the Geneva Motor Show. Ford move over These hybrids are not really green at all. You have to plug them into an AC source to charge them. Batteries only achieve at MOST, 20% efficiency...and those lithium/metal hydride based batteries are FAR too expensive to produce efficiently. Plus the manufacturing process in building the batteries is VERY dirty to the enviornment. The AC that charges yur battery is generated by a coal or NG fired electrical power generation plant and since no battery can store the same energy it takes to charge, everything under 100% efficiency is sent up the smokestack. You're trading the exhaust from a gas/diesel powered car for the exhaust from a power plant, which is no cleaner at all. Plus, you're not USING all the power you put into it. Before anyone says it, I know that gasoline engines are also at best 20-22% efficient (meaning they turn 20% of the ergs put in into usable power) but thats getting better every day. I think Natural Gas powered cars are the way to go. Just with this one new NG find called the Haynesville shale...right here in the US, theres enough natural gas to run EVERY electrical plant (home & business) and vehicle in the US for over 50 years. They think more. And NG burns much cleaner. Battery vehicles are not the way to go. |

I'm a business owner so I have to call a lot of other businesses for services. There is nothing worse than having a secretary answer the phon and, tell me I need to speak to Bob, then transfer me and Bob doesn't pick up and I have to listen to a female computer say "Sorry...(pause) "insert person's voice saying his own name"(pause) is not available right now, please leave a message..." Doesn't she as a secretary know Bob is busy or not there? No. I think Bob just being a D*ckhead and not picking up his phone. Ask the secretary to take your name and number and have Bob return your call. If he does't then I'd find someone else to do business with. I used to only have these problems when I billed clients and didn't get paid on time. The last 20 years or so I work strictly cash or check on completion when it's not an old client thats proved themselves honest. Virtually all my client calls now are incoming, not outgoing. It goes like this "Help!!! Nothings working!!". lol I get paid. |
