Unfortunately like most humanitarian awards they are givin to a popular name i'm positive theres people out there of certain races that have done more to contribute to society than Sharpton but it is what it is.

Penrose is well known for fringe speculation. If something like this pans out it would be world shattering, but that is the same with most of his ideas, he loves extraordinary ideas . . . sadly they usually have a lot of problems to overcome, so far he is striking out.
I have not looked very hard, but somewhere out there is some fairly good criticisms of the research paper linked in the OP, basically that they failed to rule out the concentric circles being caused by some other mundane source that would be within the universe or caused by inflation. Cant remember its been a while. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Yep i agree with this people forget that Penrose and Hawkings removed quantum mechanics when they came up with the "singularity theorem".In other words if you remove quantum mechanics then their theorem is possible. |

Theres one astronomer who was studying a shot of the CMB and saw what might appear to be patches of other galaxies from another universe which is the multiverse theory and she believes the CMB to be from matter of this universe colliding with matter from another universe.Slim chance but we'll see what the planck shows.I'm kind of excited. Does this astronomer have a name? What is her definition of "universe"? The Wikipedia entry about string theory say, ". . . finding a way to experimentally verify string theory via unique predictions remains a major challenge." If string theory (or any of Randall's theories) cannot be tested to see if it is falsifiable, then what good is it? |

only to those who worship the flesh, which is temporary some believe the spirit is eternal and therefore demands much more reverence and attention |

That assumes that the "big bang" happened and was "the beginning" of the universe. |

the big crunch theory where the universe continues to expand and retract, then theres the big bang. The Planck Satellite is suppose to prove one of the theories correct and maybe actualy record a gravity wave.

Not after the Lord specifically told them both it was a test. so you admit that before they knew it was a test..that God was asking Abraham to mentally abuse his child It's called a test Funches. We are God's creation, he can test us any way he wishes. There is no mentally abusing any child. Obviously he was willing to be sacrificed, there is no sign of him refusing or fighting to stop the sacrifice. Cowboy....so if God commands you to offer your child up as a burnt offerring...you actually would? Absolutely. God is and always will be the priority in my life. Priority above what I want, what other's want, over anything and everything. |

Genesis 22:2 "And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of." in the case of Creflo God said unto Creflo..take now thine shoe, thy only shoe, thine oldest daughter and beat her upon one of her mountains which I will tell thee of Again, taking things out of context. It was a test, to test his faith. God didn't really want him to sacrifice his child. Genesis 22:1 Now it came to pass after these things that God tested Abraham, and said to him, “Abraham!” And he said, “Here I am.” |

Mankind created religions, mankind created God(s),mankind believes in what it created so i guess mankind won. if only things were that black and white mankind also created the gun (for protection and hunting),, but in the age where few americans have to hunt for food, and violent crime is some of the worst in the western world,,, does that mean 'mankind' won? I dont get how thats a win for mankind.... if it werent true, than man lives with a lie if it is true,, seems its Gods win,,,, |

What are you talking about? It's not about winning or loosing, being right or being wrong. It's about serving our ever loving God. There is nothing to "win" by serving God. It's not done to promote oneself, not to gain anything for oneself. It's to love God and love the world. |

the only CT i can say might have been the cold fusion theory from Fleischmann and Pons,i think they were on to something but nuclear power corporations along with nuclear physicist played a big role in claiming their theory false.
