If it was a joke it would be funny. I doubt that saying things a right-winger would say like the government scares me which is the crazy right-wing talking point is not a joke. If it was a joke then you should have put at the very bottom of your first post just kidding or just joking or disregard these things I am just kidding around. The government don't scare people they make it harder for people to get ahead in this country. Saying they scare you is truly crazy fear mongering psycho talk. I am against Abortion I don't want to have Abortions inside high schools but I also believe it will never happen. What is up with these bank bailouts should we be getting the money instead of big businesses. Government needs to stop bailing out them and bailout the people in need. I do not agree with drilling in the Artic National Wildlife place because it could cause global warming to get worse and hurt the animals that live there who cannot live anywhere else. Instead of us drilling some place that will make the oil compaines richer since all they care about is money why don't we will off the east and gulf coast for oil and invest in solar and wind and geothermal energy and tax the oil and electric compaines and force them by law to lower people's electric bills. Around here people pay 250.00 dollars for electric during the winter and the place to help you out with your bill have no money and it is because of the government the people in charge of giving them money for us. People's electric bills are going up and up because they are trying to make as much money as possible before they are banned from doing it again. White people are going to be the new minority THANK GOD. AMEN!!! Why don't we give other minorites a chance at getting ahead since we have been in charge of everything and been the majority for years and what good have we done except be racist towards other minorites. Jesus himself was middle eastern. God loves everyone including people of different race and religion all minorites are loved under god and they also live in this wonderful country that I love. The government does not scare me as much as crazy racist right-wing nutjobs who say they believe in Jesus but do different then what Jesus would do like help the poor because Jesus himself was also poor. |

NEW YORK - A woman who died unnoticed on a hospital floor in an upsetting scene recorded by security cameras was killed by blood clots caused by a long period of physical inactivity, according to the city's medical examiner. Esmin Green, 49, had been sitting in a waiting room at the city-owned Kings County Hospital Center for nearly 24 hours when she collapsed from her chair and slowly died on June 19. She lay on the floor at the Brooklyn hospital for an hour before a nurse finally checked her pulse. After an autopsy and weeks of tests, the medical examiner's office concluded Friday that Green was killed by pulmonary thromboemboli, blood clots that form in the legs and travel through the bloodstream to the lungs. The medical examiner said the clots were due to "deep venous thrombosis of lower extremities due to physical inactivity," complicating an underlying psychological illness: chronic paranoid schizophrenia. An attorney for Green's family, Sanford Rubenstein, said the finding suggested that the hours she sat in the hospital played a role in her death. "The length of time that she spent in the emergency room ... very well may have contributed to her death," he said. "Physical inactivity was obviously a significant contributing factor." The city Health and Hospitals Corp., which owns the hospital, had no immediate comment Friday. Security guards walked away HHC officials have previously expressed outrage at the way Green was treated. Six employees lost their jobs over the incident, even before it became public. Green died while awaiting care in the hospital's psychiatric emergency room. EMS workers had brought her to the center on the morning of June 18. The hospital said she was suffering from agitation and psychosis and was involuntarily admitted after refusing medical review. The emergency room is chronically overcrowded, and Green waited overnight for further care. A recording of her death prompted national outrage when it became public last week. After she collapsed, neither fellow patients nor the hospital's staff moved to help her, even as she thrashed her legs on the floor and tried to get up. Two security guards and a member of the hospital's medical staff can be seen on the video, stopping to look at Green briefly before walking away. She stopped moving about 30 minutes after falling and was dead when a nurse finally examined her another 30 minutes after that. HHC immediately reported the death to the state and voluntarily turned over the security records to lawyers already suing the city over alleged patient neglect at the hospital. People known to be at risk from deep vein thrombosis are often given anticoagulation drugs or compression stockings, which can keep clots from forming, and advised not to sit for hours at a time. The condition, however, is not always easy to detect. The National Heart Lung and Blood Institute said about half of the people with deep vein thrombosis have no symptoms at all. The Government already runs a Health Care Program. It's called Medicare. If you really want to see some fur fly in Washington, just see what happens if someone mentions doing away with that program! With the majority of employer backed insurance (Mines this way, my dads was and everyone I have talked to) requires you to go on medicare when you reach social security age. Your private insuer becomes the secondary payer. Well that will put more costs on YOUR insurance company and guess what, more cost to you!!!! |

i have mixed feeling on the law in question, i love the idea of having access to the gun but would feel better if the gun was actually on my person. not that i want to use it but if i need to i would hate to have to run to my car get it and then return to help innocent ppl being shot at by the nut shooting. I believe in the Constitution and the right to bear arms. I believe it deters violence, if everyone thought someone might be packing then people might be less likely to try something. I believe you should be trained and very familiar with the use of a firearm and what to look for as far as whats behind the target, etc. It is getting to the time in this country that we need to remember our Founding Fathers and what they fought against and what made this a great nation..once... people need to take responsibility for their actions, and not depend on the government to supply their needs. socialism is not the answer...ok so i got on a rant sorry. vote for the good of the country not the lesser of two evil. I agree, the law should go a step further and not allow any infringement on the right to carry ( i understand not allowing people to carry into a court ect ) It really seems most guns laws just pander to those too scared to think about the topic rationally. |

Thank you for your attempt of educating me on Puerto Rico  I stand by my words, you read what you wanted to - I never said it was or wasn't part of the US; I specifically said I was not born in the US. My birth certificate says the city I was born in and Puerto Rico, the US is not mentioned - good try though hhhhaaaaaa  but back to more important things - how'd you like to be my running mate? Fran for Pres - ADJ for VP -- dream team but what do I know  neither does the second one posted on page one of this thread it says hawaii does not say u s so does that mean hawaii is not in the united states only place u s is mention is under occupation of parent and the name of hospital just looked at mine it says th city and state does not mention the united state neither does that mean i was not born in the united states --- i thnk not nice try fran but you were born in the united states |
