I wonder how the poll would look if they took it in New Orleans,,,, interesting numbers though,,,,,,still dont know of any deaths from the oil spill but time will tell,, I don't have to wonder about that ... my family and friends who still live there say that he's despised by at least 90 per cent of the state - including New Orleans ... Give him time - he'll find a way to blame Bush for his own incompetence ... AGAIN COWBOY UP and help out or are you just a political hack who just wants to run his mouth!!!! Florida will be hit as will the east coast of the United States. I've also been on active duty bringing food and water to places like Port Sulphur, Buras, and other areas hit by Betsy. Is THAT enough to satisfy you? Probably not, but I really don't care. Did they ask the pollers if they were racist and hate Obama for other reasons first before they asked the other questions? I would really like to know. Obama has done an exceptional job with this oil spill. He has guaranteed 20 billion dollars that will not have to be litigated to receive which is unprecedented in the legal arena on disasters. With a third party processing the claims. He has guaranteed money for the oil workers not working because of the 6 months delay on drilling. He has also guaranteed that the clean up will be done regardless to how long it takes. The only thing Obama is guilty of it waiting too long to let BP do what he figured they knew how to do. Hating Obama for his race or all the other illegimate reasons out there influence the polls so polls are not a good gauge of anything with this president unless they establish if they are talking to a racist first before they poll. Actually what he has done is called a "Shake Down" which is unethical and borderline illegal. Quit politicizing this mess!!!!!! COWBOY UP AND HELP OUT!!!!! |

Obama doesn't have the autority to demand them to pay anything.The United states does not have the power to govern the entire world including what foreign companies are doing in international waters.The authority of the United states ends about 60 miles from the our coasts. They are just paying some money now to sooth tensions.Just wait and see.In the end the United states will probably spend 300 plus million for this spill and BP will fight those charges in court for 20 plus years just like Exxon did.

Why do they believe BP did it on purpose? Probably because that fiction fits their Socialist 'no drilling' agenda. Gotta make SOMEbody the villain, and BP happens to be the fall guy in this case. There ARE questions, to be sure, such as WHY was the person who said to continue drilling AFTER the report of downhole overpressure NOT a LICENSED Marine Engineer ... ? HOW did he even GET into a position of authority to make a decision like that? I'm from drilling country myself, and blowouts happen, but they don't usually get this out of hand. The 'administration' IGNORED the burn plan that was ALREADY in place and also FAILED to act as directed under the Oil Act provisions - I hold the 'administration' a LOT more responsible for the continuing failure than I'll ever hold BP. |

Vegas is one of those tracks that sets the stage for the rest of the season...Its time to tighten those belts and get down to racing...
I look forward to a "Full Contact" season and letting the boys "Just go racing" and not worry about the dreaded Black Flag...Finally putting the racing in the drivers hands...USE THAT BUMPER BOYS If ya aint rubbin, ya aint racin!!!!!!
As far as Danica....She has a long ways to go...Not a easy transition as many have found out...I think Montoya will win a couple this year on ovals...RCR is back with vengeance... My pick for Vegas is David Reutiman for MWR!!!! He has been running up front to much not to get a win or two this season..... |

I just fell and crushed 7 toes and fractured both heels...Had surgery on the 11th and talking they might have to fuse the sub-toular(Sp) joint...This will be a slow healer...Very painful.. I have medical insurance but pay out the butt for it...WE NEED REFORM AND NEED IT NOW!!!!! A hairline fracture should in about 8 weeks...Broke many fingures over the years.... My gawd what was you doing for that to happen? Now that would be rough hope you heal soon ........

What kind of fracture was it? comminuted fracture(crushed bone)? greenstick? any cartilage damage? tendons? Get my point? Yes you are right, it probably was an ortho-pedist, not an onco, so I apologize. Now John, I had a similar injury about 5 years ago, and Dr. Ortho was a punk, and he did nothing for me, and told me nothing I didn't already know. The body heals itself. It's not the 24th century and Dr. Beverly Crusher can't wave an instrument over the injury and magically make it heal. Would be nice if that were true, but we have to wait a few hundred years. Now something that is very real, sports injuries. Football, basketball, players have to deal with injuries all the time, and they have the additional pressure of how long until they get to play again? How long? Do you immobilize it, or do you work it out? What??? A party without cheese dip??? I think it's important to remain accurate in posts... spelling and the content... If nothing else, perhaps someone reading this thread learned something today and it was in no way a jab at you. That being said, Not all Docs are punks... to generalize is putting your life in danger... It's all fun & games till someone loses an arm right? You asked a question "how long" for a reason... perhaps you are starting to feel something ain't right? I was merely asking pertinent questions about the type of injury you had. You mentioned athletes and them having to deal with injuries... Dude? I dunno if you've noticed but you're older and maybe nowhere as fit as a 20-25yr old? Trust me it has loads to do with it! 4-6 weeks for a broken bone by NHL standards... funny enough they have a team of quacks at their disposal... and hyperbaric systems to boot! Sorry I must get back to my patients LOL That's all I was askin', how long. I realize it takes longer to heal for a 40 something than it does a 20 something. But dammitt it hurts, when will the pain end? |
