I think the roles have always been there. It is part of the survival imperative, and hard wired in.
the woman has child , the child needs a lot of care for a long time, and needs protecting.
In simpler times it was enough to protect from predators and chase down fleet footed herbivores.
Then came agriculture and so we worked the fields. then civilization and many and varied work. but it is the same thing.
A man should provide for and protect his offspring and woman. Until the child has grown.
A huge amount of people then divorce.

It would be good to have a partner and both only work part time good for both.
Mutual respect is important.

Having children is tough on both sexes. But they are the important ones.
we cant escape that fact. I think you don't become a man until you realize and accept that there are more important things than your own desires.
Don't regret my marriage. she was a good wife and mother for all those years.
But the children grew and we divorced. New beginning.

you can see it from your chair you lucky duck. I walked up onto a hill and sat on a rock for a while, and quickly worked out that the moon had risen nearly 19,000 times and revolved around the earth something like 700 hundred times spun round the sun 55 times (that bit was easy) since I've been wandering, beneath these empty skies. spinning away in the void doing its slow celestial dance.
thus feeling suitably cosmic.I composed, relaxed, emptied, and just sat nothing else. Felt the quiet noticed the creatures were quiet, even the insects were not feeding on me lol.
When calm/quiet enough I can just sort of feel the potency, richness, complexity and deepness of this world, from which we somehow became animated.

It's refreshing to slip into deep relaxation under a full moon. Done it since ages ago :)

Ha I picked up a music center last week at an air ambulance charity shop for £25. its got a turntable that plays all the speeds ( even 78s) tape to tape radio cd usb, and bluetooth. records any input to mp3. the best sound i can get is to record from album to metal oxide tape. even cd s are a step down.
Which is 40 yea old technology.

Mostly though I just use youtube. Same as everyone else.

Yea did that for 25 years. wife never worked. Then I got ill for a few months and was told recovery from surgery would be over a year and i woudnt be able to work.
She went to someone else. Subsequently we divorced.

she gets two houses and £80,000 in the bank. I get one house.and the shirt on my back.
I was like Game of thrones in there....

My point is, A woman can earn just as easily as a man in these times.

Everybody is connected these days. you'd think connecting would be easier.
But instead there is just more distrust and xenophobia. It's a sad sign of the times.
But keeping it simple? I'm with Crystal on that one.

Although it could just as easily be as the guys said. he may be wary of scammers. Because that's what they do every time. Get you offsite and start gathering personal information.

It's such a pain that there are so many wishing to take advantage of ones personal quest for love.
