I'm more worried about the nuclear power plants. If they can't get them under control...that's gonna be trouble for a lot of people for a long long time...Yikes!

Kidding around with someone who can give as good as they get...when someone catches me by surprise with a witty comment or a quick comeback...I really enjoy the back and forth of teasing someone all in good fun...

Sigh. Now I have to get all mushy.

I remember the simple, silly things that made me happy. To me, it's those kind of moments when you know you have something special. And, I also believe that when you lose those moments (or they become less and less of an occurance), then your relationship goes into the danger zone of falling into oblivion.

A song can trigger these memories. Or a movie, a scene in a movie, etc. But when it happens, it makes me remember.

aww mushy goof...so sweet

I remember when a song would take me back to a high school crush...an old boyfriend...yeah that's nice

Nope not at all because at the end of the day i'll still be a college drop out that brings home more than the majority of people I've met with Associates degree's. Where the news come's up with these numbers about people with high school diplomas versus people with college degree's is beyond me.

My mom has an associates in nursing & makes more money than I will when I graduate after 10 yrs in college...who's the smart one now? LOL

Lili...the look on everyone's face when I tell them genetics is always priceless...I forget how much I feared my first genetics course too!

It was biology's weed out course (besides O chem)! I am more fascinated by the subjects that are the most difficult for me for some reason. Failed O chem my first round (personal life was in shambles & perhaps should not have taken anything difficult that year, but I couldn't live with quitting). By the time I graduated with my bachelors I was in an advanced organic grad level course!

Immunology has been a tough one too (D in my first course which was also grad level as an UG during same time as O chem). So I have had 3 basic immunology courses, now auditing immunogenetics, study the immune response to ticks in cattle, and have a world renowned immunologist on my committee (a scary old irishman that is not easy to impress scared )

I really can't stand it when I can't figure things out-LOL

Oh that brings back anxiety...the first test I ever failed CALCULUS devastated

The first engineering test I failed...professor told me engineering wasn't for girls...oh that had steam coming outa my ears...I was in his office everyday asking questions...100% next test ha that'll teach him

the most recent test I failed Behavioral Neuroscience Final...no amount of BS could have saved me on that one....extra dirty vodka martini...ahh that's better...

So do you think when they write their interests are hunting, fishing, hiking and sports....THEY EXPECT US TO GO with them or they just WANT US TO KNOW they do those things?

Cause I have never even touched a gun,

I'll cook the fish but I don't like fishing,

and I figure why hike when you have a perfectly good car,

well sports please...

I'll go camping but you will wish you had never brought me along (NEED A LOTA CHEEZ TO GO ALONG WITH THAT WHINE)...unless we have a nice cabin with indoor plumbing, jacuzzi, fireplace and nice plump pillows...

my kinda woman....stays home while I go hunting bigsmile

I didn't say I would be waiting around at home...I just said I aint goin with ya....ha

When you are watching TV and something happens in an episode that reminds of something happened in your life and you turn to say something..yet no one there to talk to..

Or when something is funny...and you're laughing all by your lonesome...like 4u's post *sigh again*

..knowing i won't feel their touch...no matter how vividly i can remember and imagine it..that when i open my eyes there will be...nothing not a heart beat or a scent or the vestiges of warmth...

Wow reading that made me feel lonely.... brokenheart

Txs I used to be like that..loved the freedom to do as i please...but for some reason lately..things like buying one steak makes me feel lonely...wish I could get back to feeling good about being on my own *sigh*

I bought a single steak...came home and cooked it and ate it alone...that made me think about what makes me feel lonely.

There is something about a steak that just should involve another person.

So what makes you feel lonely?

they all just wanna look like cavemen

the most outdoors most prolly get is in the car to drive to the store to get batteries for the remote

what I don't get is why they think WE care. I crack up when I read the profiles that say must love camping....ummm. no ...I must not and I will not, and yes you cheapskate PAY FOR A HOTEL ROOMlaugh why they think we want to touch their slimy fish and sleep in a tent when we could eat at a seafood joint and sleep at the Hilton, is beyond menoway

Well sure some men are...its like all of a sudden they have to up the conversation to something more sophisticated....but smart girls just want to have fun too

Hey firefly...have you ever seen the look on a mans face change when he asks what you do and you say...."I'm working on a PhD" in whatever...its kinda sad for both ...cause that usually marks the end in my experience
ohwell

I was beginning to think ...
"I am turned off by fawningly nice guys"...
at first I thought this was a problem...do I really want someone who is not nice to me and not the guy who seems to really like me? What is my problem?

then I read the definition below...I think its okay to be turned off by the person described in this definition...

Definition from Dictionary.com
fawn 1 (fôn)
intr.v. fawned, fawn·ing, fawns
1. To exhibit affection or attempt to please, as a dog does by wagging its tail, whining, or cringing.
2. To seek favor or attention by flattery and obsequious behavior.

If you don't want to talk to me anymore just say so.....and i'll stop calling, emailing, IMing, driving by your home and place of business, sending you cards and letters, phoning your mother, father, and best friends, leaving teddy bears on your car, following you, sending you candy and flowers, eating the food you leave on the plate at restaurants, breaking into your house while your not home to clean out your refrigerator and do your laundry ...................................................................................................but i'll always  you

Since we're doing some math here...lets see

I've always heard that the quality of the sex is directly proportional to the length of the marriage so

year 0= Fantastic sex cause your not suppose to
year 1=Fantastic sex x infinity cause you still like each other and you want to do it a lot

year2 to the end= eh if you want eh maybe later...can you get me another beer

then you die

So have an orgasm...or two..before you die

You are oversimplifying and making a big generalization about men. There are numerous other possibilities. I would hate to lump all women into 3 categories. What about these types of men:

4. Those who bend over backwards to adore a woman but she's not yet ready for commitment.

5. Those who find themselves at the hands of a woman who just wants to "play the field".

6. Those who are willing to take the time to build a relationship but get caught up in love so fast they fall head over heels and don't have any brakes.

Men are not as callous as you describe. Not all men are in it for self gratification; there are those of us out here who know how to treat a woman with respect and know what kinds of joys are worth waiting for.

Don't be so cynical. Love can be grand and romance is not dead. Kissing and spooning is under-rated.

--Just my two cents ...

I agree that people ...men or women... are all the same...some good some bad...

categories are just a good way of keeping track...put him in a box...take him out when you need to...then put him back...it's so simple and neat....

Get a female friend and ask her for inside tips on what women REALLY want not what they SAY they want....we are complicated creatures that do not come with an instruction manual....call technical support and stay on the line till someone answers...

Good Luck

I have a control issue...if I'm not in control then I don't want to play

I'm unpredictable...especially to myself...sometimes I don't like something or someone for no good reason...like The Simpsons..just typing that makes me grind my teeth...why I don't know

I am the queen of procrastination...then I whine until I either do what I didn't want to do or the deadline passes...

I don't think I would tell all that to a date...he would run screaming from the restaurant....but I am who I am so it will eventually leak out...hopefully before weddings and such... ohwell
