i have never seen more propaganda on tv since my days in communist poland in 1980's and 1990's. i swear all those "experts" from "think tanks" - they are just paid propaganda specialists with specific agendas, paid by the government or big corporations and each of them pushes their employer's views:

- so a think tank expert on TV paid by oil companies will say that oil is the way to go and to never go into alternative fuels

- a think tank expert on TV who is paid for by the neocon movement will push for war with iran

- a think tank expert on TV paid by AIPAC will of course support anything Israel is doing, brushing over palestinian civilian deaths etc

See a pattern? And when these "experts" show up on TV the stations do not identify them, or say things like "they are from the Heritage Foundation", which only the people in the know realise is a front organization for the neocon movement.

Also ASAP that means do it yesterday: CALL THE HOSPITAL AND SAY YOU DISPUTE THE CHARGES, THEN WRITE A LETTER STATING THAT YOU DISPUTE THE CHARGES OF SUCH AND SUCH $$ AMOUNT ON SUCH AND SUCH DATE.

If you dont get it in writing then you have no case and "welcome to collection agency hell" happens.

Yeah USA is the only country in the world with 100% private insurance and this is the result.

Medical insurance, if not provided by employer is extremely EXTREMELY expensive. I am self employed and I do not have medical insurance, because it would really cut into my money...

Here are your options:
1) Refuse to pay but then your credit is shot, and cant buy car, home etc, plus you get harassed by collection agency
2) Ask the mother for 1/2, if she refuses threaten to go to courts for it.
3) Pay the bill
4) Ask them for a breakdown of drugs/services used, and go to another hospital and beg for their prices for such services/drugs.
