Goodbye

"Lost Love" most of us on this site have a story or two of a lost love, to live is to experience the lose of someone we love during our life time. Your pain is not a stranger to many who reside here on Mingle2. Perhaps, when one door closes another will open.
May I personally welcome you to this community of poet and writers. Many have become very near and dear to me. I often wonder where they have gone, when they no longer post a line or two. |

I was feeling sad that there is no interest in keeping this topic alive, I wonder where all the people have gone...

Tommy, I applaud you, well done my poet friend.
...moving forward after being left adrift in sadness to the hollow grounds of your ancestors and finding a gift of new found blessings around each new emanating corner and finding contentment with little more than that which the Lord hadth given you. Real deal, nice read! |

Mingle2 Story

Minglers' rock, we're taking you back to the start, this is a dead end road that takes you no where.
We started out replying to a message that said, Hi there...want a piece of me? Sent...after few minutes...got a reply...It read, "So you think you got what it takes to become the next top mingler, eh?" In reply I said, I got curious so I replied...Wondering what it takes to become the next top mingler... |

There was a message waiting in the inbox. I started to read the message. Then a text came in awell. I jumped in the well an id retrieved the text. It read... Hi there..want a peice of me? Sent..after few minutes..got a reply.. It read.... "So you think you got what it takes to become the next top mingler eh?" It said, I got curious so i replied.... I know what I got. can you walk the walk or do you just talk the talk? unexpectedly...... Someone came knocking on my door. Wondering who it is, I opened the door and saw.... The biggest scariest looking man I have ever seen, he had thick wiry masses of hair and a long straggly beard that came down to his huge belly, he was accompanied by a very menacing looking Chihuahua....he said.... "Would you like to pet my dog?", I stared at him and hesitated thinking he might be... serious. He and his dog looked like one of the good o' boys so I replied by telling him I thought the party was a couple miles further down the road and they would be glad to see him... |

Walking alone
My mind wanders Whispering wind whispers to me. Shadows stare at me I return the stare A heavy sadness settles over me. Cries echoes reverberating in my heart and mind whispering to me. A figure emerges the wind caresses comforting my soul subtle reminders. As rain sounds, merely quiet gentle tears fall I will carry on to love once more. |

I'd say she was a smart woman. Doesn't sound like David had any consideration for her. All he thought about was what he wanted.
Unconditional love... try locking your lover and your dog in closet for a day and see who's still happy to see you when you unlock the door. |

I watched the sun come up this morning as I took a short walk down the road in front of the house. There is nothing like a little walk in the early hours of morning to bring back memories. I have always heard that old folks like to think (and talk) about the past. I think the reality of it might be that we have lived through much that the next generations will never know and we want to share...or maybe teach or even brag a bit. I like to recall life when folks talked about the weather forecast and complained when the weather man got it wrong.
On Sunday, we always had company or went to visit folks, Sunday was a day of rest. A meal was shared but mom never sat and ate with us. She waited on us and when we were finished, she sat down and ate whatever was left. In school, we began each day with a prayer, and the worst thing that ever happened in the classroom occurred on report card day. We never heard words like race, racist or racism. We didn't have time to notice the skin color of some of our playmates. Heck, we didn't notice the difference between boys and girls, even as we were skinny dipping together in the river. That stuff happened about the same time as acne. My kids don't really enjoy my stories. They start glancing at each other smugly. They pretend to listen for awhile, and then they add just enough to let me know, they already heard that one. Tonight, I'm going to meet friends to talk about my walk this morning. If my lady friends have ever heard it before, they won't remember. |

It has been all of seven years, All must be going well for you, that is great. Makes for some interesting reading.
An Irishman returns to his home land. There must be a story or perhaps you are just an adventurer. It all sounds intriguing, as intriguing as the person behind the beard. |
