Goodbye….
She looked deep into his eyes as if she was showing him her aching soul. Tears streamed down her face as she faked a small smile although she felt her heart breaking. She knew it was over, but her heart kept begging her not to let go.
This was not a decision made without soulful thought; it had tortured her mind over time. Their love had died a dreadful death over time, she had tried to repair it, he had tried, but there seemed no resolve. It appeared they had both changed and changed beyond the other. Distance had taken possession of the closeness they once shared.
She had tried to cling to the love they once shared, but she was clinging to a thread of what used to be and hadn’t returned. Grief of a love lost had replaced a loving heart. Grief had placed many scars upon her heart; her heart became a lonely place searching for his love.
Her lips wished to scream I love you, but the words would not release. It was over, it was time to say good bye.

"Lost Love" most of us on this site have a story or two of a lost love, to live is to experience the lose of someone we love during our life time. Your pain is not a stranger to many who reside here on Mingle2. Perhaps, when one door closes another will open.

May I personally welcome you to this community of poet and writers. Many have become very near and dear to me. I often wonder where they have gone, when they no longer post a line or two.
