Most guys are looking for someone in their immediate area.
Dating after the age fifty, very few, if any, are going to up-root and move even if they found someone that they could get along with, might even be great together and they've dated for a long time because time and distance are major factors. It usually is not going to happen, to be with someone that is not in their immediate area because of jobs, family, homes, cultural back ground, etc... |

Bill Cosby

Bill Crosby has been a outspoken defender of family values and a documented firm believer in moral ethics. He has been married since 1964 and has children and grandchildren. I would think on that platform alone he would defend himself.. but he remains silent. Often people say one thing and do another. He would not be the first man to sexually assault someone while married and raising a family. |

If Crosby did the crime, he should be held accountable and do the time.
Times are changing, with social media, the victims no longer stand alone. |

Winter -Shorter days, longer nights, cooler temperatures and snow.
I hibernate -I watch the sun rise, I watch the sun set and, I watch the snow fall, from inside, looking out my window pane. I read, I write, I paint and occasionally I pick up after myself. |

Autumn Feel

Outdoors, warm coat Thinking my thoughts Not seeing what's around me Not really Until I let go of my thoughts open my heart land deeper in my body suddenly I see I feel The wind touching my face caressing my cheeks with its cold fingers I turn my hands palms out to feel the wind, the energy the autumn in the air I slow my pace and look around the beautiful colours what a gorgeous palet of autumn colours! The painter in me is deeply touched by the leaves in burnt umber with a hint of cad yellow there's reds and browns greens and ochre warm orange I breathe in the colours see as if I see this world for the very first time I feel the wonder in me perceiving, feeling this beauty! Two pigeons flying away I look up at them and smile My hands tingle in spite of the cold wind they feel warm as if the cold wind's energy warms my hands What a wonderful feeling! If only you open your heart and your eyes What a wonderful world! Wow, that is awesome. |

A Poet's Place

I take it you like his work? tommo / Ireland I'll let you know after I read some of his writings. The writers group I meet with will be discussing his work. I watched a documentary about Charles Bokowski and thought, "what a waste." He writes about skid row, cheap saloons, vagrants, alcoholics and his depraved life style. He has published more than forty-five books of poetry and prose. His writing often featured a depraved metropolitan environment, downtrodden members of American society, direct language, violence, and sexual imagery, and many of his works center around a roughly autobiographical figure named Henry Chinaski. |

What ye really need Baby, is a man there with ye to sooth those hungering, simple desires we all have. Wish I were there with ye, Babe. I'd love to sit with ye inside your place and watch the snow flakes falling. Now, that would be very, very rewarding indeed. tommo / Ireland Ahh yes, that would be nice. That would be rewarding indeed. Isn't that what we are all looking for? Perhaps one day, a man who enjoys life's simple pleasures will walk into my life, we will sit, talk and walk together sharing the day to day experiences. |

Nice photos... I've been following your poetry posting about a year now. I'm still impressed and inspired.
I find myself spending time inside on the computer now that winter is upon us here in Missouri, shorter days, longer nights, blast of artic air whistling through the trees freezing lakes and ponds with snow soon to follow. This is an amazing time in my life, simple and uncomplicated, in mid-afternoon I bundle up to water and feed the animals outside, which usually doesn't take a good deal of time, otherwise I am free of responsibilities, I'm able to sit inside and watch the snow fall with an appreciation of the beauty of the newly covered landscape in all it's glory. I find myself wondering what life for a poet is like in Ireland? |
