I hope your fond memories heal your heart in your time of loss. Deepest sympathies *hug*

The concept of creative-destruction is a very natural one to me- a fire razing a forest may rend weakening or dying land fertile again- but I don't know that we, as humans, should CHOOSE what to destroy to create.

As to the question, we, as humans, certainly think (in some groups, a generalization here) that we have the right to destroy each other to advance our ideas and classes. My personal philosophy makes me shudder at such acts that are committed when extreme groups commit genocide and mindlessly destroy for their cause- I'm a very "go with the flow" type person- which I feel lends itself into the natural cycle of destruction/creation...

Indeed, Walker and Abra both, I always read every word- you are both mind-expanding individuals.

I try to keep myself in balance when exchanging words, and if I get too woobly (yes, woobly, not wobbly) I quit before my temper gets out of control. It is very difficult to keep all three aspects in balance at all times; I tend to be pathos driven and get overly-emotional if I don't catch myself.

Walker- if you consider what you do an art then you belong! I feel that all creative processes are in their own right art.

I also believe it is human nature to be creative, though so many people don't feel connected to their artistic sides and don't feel comfortable doodling or painting or anything else. Spread the word- be confident in yourself and create something! It's great therapy. drinker

I am an only and fit many traits but am also rather "outside the box," of traditional only child syndrome. Hubby and I have several friends who are only children and I can only be patient with them for so long! laugh

Give your friend lots of love and support- mourn for your car (expensive as they are, I know it can be a devastating loss) but don't let that consume you. Be thankful for a chance to expand your perception! (we need a hug emote!)flowerforyou

I think part of either sex playing relationship head and heart games is control- *shrug* too many people feel that being honest and open is dangerous; society has taught us getting hurt is a bad thing, so why not hurt somebody else to get what you want and come out ahead? It is painful logic and our programming to stay on top often steps all over our good sides (very general statement there- not pointed at any person in particular)

It was my understanding that JSH is a dating site for anybody, which is why you can chose "I am a man seeking a man," or "I am a woman seeking a woman," Or do you simply feel that homosexuals should be separated- maybe, SurfCity, you should go to a straight only site

Well then, let's raise some energy! Say a prayer for the person who cut you off in traffic today. Think a happy thought for somebody you don't like. Plant a tree, feed a hungry child, build a home or just thank the wind for blowing! If you are interested, act. It doesn't have to be here, or anywhere-but let the love flow (too cliché?) laugh

The faiths that modern, western society is based on may not have had female clergy throughout the ages due to a translation error, but there are many, many religions in which women are equally valued religious leaders, and sometimes higher valued (which I do not necessarily agree with). Though I know your question wasn't really pointed at religions other than your own was it?

I remember my mother and I trying to get avocado trees to sprout when I was little. We'd get some heart little plants going, but never any fruit. I'm in too cold a climate to experiment with it now too- best of luck!

Delicious sounding and relatively simple recipe- however my husband has a severely eroded esophagus and cannot eat chicken as it is to stringy for him to swallow, so when we make it, we'll used garlic marinated pork tenderloin instead! bigsmile

Hello everyone- I am on an endless quest for a tasty, homemade grain bread that is soft and fluffy and full of grainy goodness. I've found a few and modified some but still not total satisfaction.... any suggestions?

the online art community deviantArt (http://deviantart.com) has an entire section dedicated to tutorials, lots for photoshop, and also stock artists and such resources for photomanipulators.

I agree with you, lizardking, that our poetry is as much for others as ourselves, but first make sure it is important to you.

I particularily love the first two lines, "There are clouds in your eyes/Lust for the better man drifting over hazel skies." It is a bit angsty, but full of emotion and beautiful imagery. The lack of punctuation enhances the motion as each line break you have chosen is a comfortable place to pause rather than a constant line of thoughts. Very well written!
