It's the online equivalent of dressing up in a Princess Leia slave outfit and walking thru a SciFi convention.

Crap, your reminding me of last year's Dragoncon in Atlanta on Labor day weekend. I live in Atlanta, so it is convenient. Kind of sucks, but this year I have to be out of town that weekend due to work. A buddy from work that builds robots for the robot battles indroduced my to Dragoncon.

I've heard about Dragoncon but never been.

Dragoncon is a nerd paradise. A four day event, with about 35-45k people. Well over 2/3 are in costume. It is Sci Fi based, but branches off to many venues of interst. Large 3K people venues for large pannels for BSG, SG1, Farscape, and Star Trek. 1.5K for the smaller pannels. The best were the hundreds of rooms that would usually have 15-50 fans of a particular topic with a fan based pannel small group discussions. The days start for 10am and end at 2am. After 10pm is when the party starts with concerts, raves, open bar and other adult related activities. Ok, TMI!! haha

Favorite Sci Fi show of all time = Babylon 5

Others I like are:

Space Above and Beyond
Jerimiah
Original Battle Star Galictica
Space 1999
Lexx
V (original)

Farscape was already mentioned!

The re-imagined BSG in my opinion drew directly from concepts from the original BSG for the basic story, Babylon 5 for the Character maps, and Space Above and Beyond for the Military realism.

Dang it, forgot about V, never bothered with the new version.

The new V is sick! Can't wait till it comes back on! It is extremely well written.

I'll have to Netflix it, when it came on there was already so many other shows on I was trying to watch.

The best way to watch the new V is on Hulu. For free and for great quality and limited comercials you can watch the last five episodes of the nine episode season. Well crap if you have netficks! Then watch all 9. You, won't be disapointed.

No it was a scene where they're all hanging out and a couple are throwing a football around. Its night and its kind of a camp out or something. Its been so long since I saw it.

Ok, I saw "The Expendables" today. It was an intertaining movie, and the male actors at least looked like they had a great time during filming. The acting sucked, but at least it was people involved with the action and not computer animated action heros or scrawny pint sized action heros that can't fight in real life.

Ok, if I want a faster ride, making modifications to my Mazda 3 wimpy 2.0L 4 cyld, will be a waste of time and money. The money spent to put a tubo kit and better breaks could get me a decent used sports car that could go just as fast as my Mazada 3 would with a Turbo. At the point that I have to replace my clutch I will replace it with a sport clutch and put in a lighter flywheel at the same time. That did not look too expensive for the increased in responsiveness at the wheel.

Porn is the one thing in my life that leads to nothing good, yet I go back to it all to often. I hate it, the more I look at porn, the more I stare at a lady's chest. It diffently brings out the side of me that I do not like. Not sure how to break from it unless I take a hammer to my computer or the more permanant solution of cutting off my arms. It flat out sucks!

This is not true. See "Defending Pornography" by Nadine Strossen.

Ok, it puts $ in some women’s pockets. Mostly to the greedy dude pimping them out though, ahhh!
