Love can make an 80 year old feel 18 again. You'll just hurt more afterwards.

If it's a pre-owned home (and most are) you can ask about having the sellers purchase a warranty for the major items like the furnace so it something happened to it after, assuming you purchased the house, it would be covered for repairs or replacement.
Anything negative that the inspector finds lets you renegotiate the terms or purchase price. The seller would either repair or replace the as needed before you buy or lower the price to your satisfaction so you could make the repairs. Make sure your inspector goes into and thoroughly inspects the attic, if there is one, and that any additions to the original structure are up to code. Ask him to show you the property lines or have the county show you. Let your gut and common sense guide your emotions. My best to you. |

Which is nerdier

Definitely Star Trek. It was based in Science with a Prime Directive to not interfere with other Cultures or Races.
Star Wars was more Fantasy / Adventure / Romance and a bit cartoonish. Oops, is my nerd showing? |

Amputation
|
|
Don't know anyone with an amputation. But for a female take on it I would rather see a limb amputation than a heart missing. Thank you soufie! I hope there are more people who feel the way that you do. When I was twenty years old, back in the covered wagon days, I nearly lost my right leg above the knee do to an accident. After several surgeries and nearly two years of physical therapy, I was able to walk again and keep my leg but I do have extensive nerve damage. In Wisconsin (USA) we have many Military Veterans so it's not unusual to see an amputee or someone with a prosthetic limb or limbs. I think it's just natural to want to assist a person (amputee)with a door or service and is in no way meant to offend anyone missing a limb. Mostly we just try to treat everyone the same. We also have wheelchair basketball teams in Wisconsin for persons with disabilities or those who just want to give it a go. |

friends?

I don't have any friends - online or in my life. Cat, since I started following and occasionally commenting on the forums, I've discovered people whose posts and comments are fun, entertaining, enlightening and meaningful. While I've never met any of them, I have formed idea's about what each person is like based on their words. Each is someone who, if I lived near, would like to have coffee with or share a meal and movie with while getting to know them "for real" and building a friendship. I don't know if that will ever happen, but I do think well of them as "online friends" or people I have interacted with. I also think that there are many who think well of you and consider you a "friend". Friendships are out there. Best of luck my friend. |

All set for the eclipse and now it looks like Wisconsin will be cloud covered. Then again, the weather here can change in 15 minutes.

i am disabled with degenerative disk disease and also degenerative S.I. disease.i walk with a cane and sometimes walk with a walker around my house. it just hurts that men won,t accept me with my disability.i guess it takes a very special man to date and eventualy take care of her. Sorry to hear this. Men won't date me because of my looks or my age. I feel your pain but there are few men and women for that matter that won't judge a book by its cover. My friends ask why I stay single and I explain that if I can't be accepted for who I am; why even try? All we can do is live out our lives and see that there is so much to enjoy in life and we need not be coupled up to feel complete. navygirl, There is nothing wrong with your looks or age and thank you for the work that you do. Hi missourigal, Maybe for some men, a disability is an unknown and they're not sure how to approach the subject of a disability. Instead of talking with the person as they would anybody else, they pause, not sure what to say. Men may wonder what their responsibilities would be in a relationship with a person with a disability. The unknowns and questions will tend to keep some men (and women) from considering forming a relationship. Hopefully, they would treat anyone with any type of disability (physical or emotional)the same as everyone else, with respect, understanding and compassion. Unfortunately, not everyone is capable of that. Best of luck to you. |

Hi Jordan and welcome.
I think some people are just being friendly and it's interesting to chat with people from other parts of the World. As with anything, there are some scammers, so be mindful of that. The forums are fun. Enjoy! |
