Loneliness surrounds a life out of tune, darkness engulfs an invisible wound
Infested waters on an island marooned, waiting for the bagman, your arms to balloon The Crocker shapes your life with no regret for his hewn, from the devil, no one's immune Singing songs from childhood A Bitter sweet note From the cradle a life of turmoil, silent whimpers at night Terrorised while watching a black and blue mummy having to put up a fight The prodigal son in the grip of Kryptonite, a life spent trying to shake off the spite Singing songs from childhood A bitter sweet note Is it any wonder your half, not a whole, feet still burned from walking hot coal To the outside world he played a good role, behind closed doors an innocence stole As the crowd gathers and the church bells toll, Satan smiles and takes another lost soul Singing songs from childhood A bitter sweet note |
