Do you mean to the England's National Team? Or to the League? Because
last I've heard he is still signed with L. A. Galaxy in the US and Ms. Beckham is all excited about the decoration of their new home, down the street from the Cruise's. Any followers of the Spanish League? Ronaldinho got a Red Card, and he is suspended for two games, so the season is probably over for him now. |

I saw a book called (in Spanish) "Al infierno se va en Pareja" meaning
"You go to hell in couples"... I laughed, because I have learned that you seldomly reach heaven (metaphorically) in pairs! I have also learned, that when you need a shoulder to cry on, you usually find the naked back of a bench. And when you do find that shoulder to cry on, it usually comes with capital and interests to pay back. |

I thought the original question said "WAS THE MOST SUCCESFUL
NEGOTIATOR" as in the past? Maybe leaving the current admninistration out of the picture? Is there someone whose area of expertise is US/Latin-American relations? I know Oceans area is not Latin America. I would certainly love to hear the thoughts on how is the US and the Foreign Policy team going to handle the debacle that President Hugo Chavez is causing in Venezuela, and which threatens to expand to the other social-democratic governments of the area, such as Chile and Ecuador. Bearing in mind that Ecuador has recently become a dollarized economy. |

I have no invested interest in this war or any other war or armed
conflict, not now, not in the past, and hopefully, not in the future. But if I am not wrong war is fought between armies. Armies composed of uniformed men and women. Civilians are a part of the equation only because they are usually in the wrong place at the wrong time and nothing else to do about it. But, civilian, non-combabtant people seeking the sanctuary of a Holy place, to cheat and deceive and obtain their goal of killing lawful soldiers, fighting honorably, is just wrong. And Fanta you are right, 2 wrongs do not make a right. But a positive wrong and a negative wrong cancel each other, so there is nothing wrong is it? Why is only the soldiers that stand trial, if they are following orders? If they are left to their own devices to accomplish a mission, why aren't their superiors brought to justice for sending soldiers into a slaughter house? I know nothing. About warfare or politics. I don't know what the conditions are out there. I am sorry that you ArmyDoc had to sustain the injuries you did. Maybe if someone had cleared th place first, so you could attend to the injured safely, youo wouldn't be in this situation now. There is also compassion and common sense. Maybe these two conditions fly out the window when you are under fire, and survival at any cost, kicks in. I couldn't say. I am hoping never to be one of those mothers that pray nightly for the safe return of their children from Iraq. To all the men and women, sons and daughters, brothers, cousins, nephews, uncles, sisters, aunts, I wish you all come home to your families soon, safe, sound, well, whole. My prayers go out to them and their families. |

Oh, Starry... sure, thank you!
I would certainly do so! I will start a thread, I will need to find a corner here, I will ask Mike and Van if they can create a permanent Favorite Books corner. In the meantime, I'll start a thread. |

To Joe, I am very respectful of rules and regulations. I don't see any
reasons to be evicted. This thread was intended to thank a very good and thoughtful friend. I have made wonderful friends here, that I hope I'll never have to leave behind. |

I am not leaving you, my darling... Actually I hope you'll grace us with
an occasional poem or lyric... I will never leave this place unless Mike and Van force me out, which I hope they never, ever do... I am so very content and happy here! |

I am sorry to hear these news about your sister. Bear up, Kim. There
are many success stories, and your sister's will be one. My mother had a hysterectomy in 1991. It never spread. And I am talking about a woman that is also a survivor of Lupus. Prayer is the best antidote. I will be praying for your sister's health and for you to find peace of mind and the strength to support her through this ordeal. |
