I am so lucky, I was chosen!!!!

YEAH, RIGHT!!!!!!!!!

Got this one in my hotmail inbox:

Dear Friend,

I know that this mail will come to you as a surprise as we have never
met before. My name is Mr Adams swill. I am the bill and exchange
manager in African Development Bank. I hope that you will not expose or
betray this trust and confidence that I am about to repose on you for
the mutual benefit of our both families.

I am writing in respect of a foreign customer of our Bank who perished
along with his next of kin with Korean Air Line, flight number 801 with
the whole passengers on 6th of august 1997 and for your perusal you can
view this site
http://www.cnn.com/WORLD/9708/06/guam.passenger.list

Since the demise of this our customer, I personally have watched with
keen interest to see the next of kin but all has proved abortive as no
one has come to claim his funds of US$11.3M (Eleven Million Three
Hundred Thousand United States Dollars) which has been with our branch
for a very long time.

On this note, I decided to seek for whom his name shall be used as the
Next of Kin since nobody is coming for the fund again. The Banking
ethics here do not allow such money to stay more than 10 years, because
the money will be
recalled to our Banks treasury as unclaimed fund after this period.

In view of this I got your contact through the Internet when I was
making a research on a foreigner that I will use in this great
opportunity because I don't want the money to be recalled to our Bank
treasury as unclaimed fund. I have also agreed to offer 40% of the total
sum and the rest 60% will be for me.

The reason for a foreigner in the business is for the fact that the
deceased man was a foreigner and it is not authorized by the law guiding
our Bank for a citizen of this country to make the claim of the fund.So
the request for you as a foreigner to come into the business is
necessary, it will facilitate the release and transfer of the fund
smoothly into your reliable Bank account as the only surviving relation
to the deceased.

If you are really sure of your integrity, trustworthy and
confidentiality, and accept not to cheat or disappoint me after this
business, reply with your telephone and fax numbers and Banking account
details where you wish to receive the fund.

Upon receipt of the above mentioned information, indicating your
interest in the business, I will send you by fax or e-mail a letter of
application which you will type and send back to our bank to enable us
start this transaction.

I will not fail to bring to your notice that this business is risk free
and doesn't have any negative implication. You should not entertain any
fear as all modalities for the smooth and easy transfer of this fund
have been finalized. This transaction will be completed within 14 bank
working days immediately we start the business.

Waiting for your urgent response and please kindly delete if you are not
interested.
Regards,

Mr. Adams swill. African Development Bank
Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.

Oceans, Andrea expressed my thoughts exactly... I am still on meds, and
I am not thinking clearly...

But it applies differently to everybody, depending on the circumstances
a person is under when looking for light or comfort in the Bible. If
that's what the person is looking for... If it's looking for punishment
or condemnation, it will also be there, under a totally different
interpretation.

Can't give you any examples though, I might have to pick a passage, any
passage from the Bible and discus it here. I bet that everybody will
come out with a different interpretation of the same passage.

Not being Catholic nor christian, but having been educated as both under
Nuns for the first 15 years of my ife, I think I am at least familiar
with the Bible. But having read many other books, I consider that the
whole thing is interpretative. If not, who can explain to me, how two
very different cultures can share most of the same experiences and
Teachings?

Is like the Law. It is interpretative.

I think I was baptized when I was really little, around 1 y/o... and
according to the customs of the era, I was wearing a white dress and I
believe my father held me in his arms, leaning me back over the
baptismal basin, with my mother and godparents standing guard, and the
priest pouring water on my head and on the basin. My kids were baptized
in the same fashion. But it included a candle and a white handkerchief.
In my time it was an individual ceremony, for the family, by the time I
baptized my son, it was over 50 kids and their families crammed inside
the tiny church. ohwell

Ok... more than sexual preferences, what makes a "real man"?
Physical appearance and prowess. Intelligence. Capability. Honesty.
Professionalism. Integrity. Spiritualism. Compassion. Friendship.

Even more... all males have D**ks and are genetically prone to develop
muscles, understand sports and cars. What they do with those d*cks is
none of our goddamn business.

I bet, for those of you that served in the military, that if you were
under fire, you wouldn't care if the guy next to you was gay or not, as
long as he was capable of handling that gun, and saving your @$$ and
his. I bet you wouldn't let him die in the field, just because he is
gay.

We are talking about a human being, not some rare species.

The ability to perform any given task does not depend on your sexual
inclination. There are many heterosexual men that dwelve in the lines of
beauty and design. Does their choice of career, having sensibility,
makes them less men? I don't think so. By the same token there are many
gay men that have chosen to play sports or serve in the military. The
love for the mother country doesn not distinguishes between gay or
straight men. It takes it in just the same.

Stop being so hypocritical and take a long, hard look at your opinion
about gays. What really counts is what are they capable of doing, not
who they are doing it with.

Just a few considerations:

FAKE FRIENDS: Never ask for food.
REAL FRIENDS: Are the reason you have no food.
FAKE FRIENDS: Bail you out of jail and tell you what you did was wrong.
REAL FRIENDS: Would sit next to you sayin "Damn we ****ed up.but that
**** was fun!"
FAKE FRIENDS: Borrow your stuff for a few days then give it back.
REAL FRIENDS: Keep your **** so long they forget its yours.
FAKE FRIENDS: Know a few things about you.
REAL FRIENDS: Could write a book about you with direct quotes from you.
FAKE FRIENDS: Are for a while.
REAL FRIENDS: Are for life.
FAKE FRIENDS: Will take your drink away when they think you've had
enough.
REAL FRIENDS: Will look at you stumbling all over the place and say
"***** drink the rest of that you know we don't waste that ****."
FAKE FRIENDS: Will talk **** to the person who talks **** about you.
REAL FRIENDS: Will knock them the **** out.

To Manwich: Acknowledging your mail. I am glad if my opinion and that of
the rest have made you take another look at your own views, and now you
think differently. I just hope you have tcome over to the light side
and not decided to fire all the gays from the restaurants and turn it
into a gay-free area.

Commenting on Sparky's post: The thought of parading around naked in
front of strangers has never been appealling to me either. Private
parts are just that, private. It is rude to expose yourself more than
necessary.

People should be just less judgmental. I might not condone the
gay-lesbian choices, but I will not strip no one of any rights or stand
in the way of justice and equality.

"Its typical that you,d prefer gay men, they,re passive and feminine and
easy to control.
straight men are,nt anything like that, so go get them and leave the
real men to the real women"...

Keep this train of thought and you will get your ass kicked by a gay man
that can turn you inside out... and teach you some respect.

So you hire gay men? That makes you a gay lover then... because there
are as many or more heterosexual men and women that can be waiters,
waitresses and cooks. Why don't you hire those? Because you'll get your
ass sued for Discrimination!

You have no respect, and you are a bigot. Two faced, disrespectful
being. The noun "man" is too big for you. If you were a real man, you
will see that we are all equal and that a gay man has the same rights
you have. Imagine yourself to be discriminated because you are not gay.
That's a long stretch but always a possibility.

A person's sexual preferences shouldn't even be taken into account. A
professional sport's player is just that: a professional. Sexual
preferences are not a pre-requisite to play the game. Any other
professionals, say, lawyers, doctors, nurses, architects, bus drivers,
police officer, are not under the obligation of revealing their sexual
orientation, before passing the bar and exercising their profession.

The fact that they are naked around each other sounds like personal
issue, they do have secluded rooms if they want to be in private. Not
everybody likes to walk around naked in front of other people be it the
same gender or a different gender.

Gays should not have to tell. Heterosexuals do not walk around with a
badge advertising their sexual orientation, why should gays or lesbians?

My best friend is gay. He is a lawyer. He is still in the closet. But
most people suspect the truth, but in such a small society like this
one, I guess he is having a difficult time coming out. Lot of people ask
me if he is gay. I usually respond: "I don't know, and it is none of my
business. what I do know is that he is an amazing friend, an incredible
person and very much a professional. He is an incredible lawyer. that's
what I know for sure, and it is enough for me." That usually shuts them
up.
