That lil' kid aspect helps immensely to balance life - more people would be sooo much happier if they didn't keep stompin it down 'cause they're "all grown up now".

Your writes can MEAN so many different things. People putting their heads in the sand, not wanting to know, just wanting to view with their own brand of rose colored glasses, and NOT get involved.
It's not me, so what does it matter? An apocalyptic type revelation type thang coming to pass. Old historical plaque aftermath. So very many different things can be found fusedinyourprobingmind. |

No, the Abc rap isn't posted. It wasn't terrifically changed from the normal version, but I bounced them on my knees while lying on the floor and then slid them down to my chest at the very end. I'm surprised they didn't think certain letters were truly said more than once; but they'd sing along and laugh and learn.
Now I know Ma-ma-my A B C's next time WON't you sing with me ba-da-da-boop-bop-boop-bop-ba-da-da-daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. With your songs, don't rule the process - it's in you just let it come out, using a tape recorder or computer and just start jammin - it'll fall in place and later you can decide, nahhh, don't like that, but oo, if I try it with this waaaaaLaaaaa! |

Thank-you, Joseph. Actually, I started writing as a journal type thing to identify and change aspects of myself and keep track to find walls I kept banging into. Making up rhymes was always a great aid for me in learning or memorizing something, so it was a natural thing to use when I was raising my kids and changing rhythms (ABC song switched to a rap version) to peak their interest just naturally evolved. guess I have been kinda in one form or another, huh? Posting publicly is a new (2 years, here) experience for me.

Either that or post both versions, Strickland's labeled and the rewrite the way you feel it should be. Keep 'em both in the same file and that way your memory won't overload and it's all good!

Biff, the wrangler,
went out one day. Ridin' his ol paint roundin up strays. He brought home a calf wearin' another's brand. His woman went wild! Why? He just couldn't understand. He watched in a-MAZE-ment as she hog tied that calf, ignorin' it's cries as she traced round the brand. Then she bellowed in a voice that hit like a 2 x 4. "Biff, you're a wrangler, not a rustler, I know this for shore!" "I strongly urge you to cowboy up again and take this one back to his home pen." Now, ol Biff, he was stubborn with a strong helping of pride on the side. Disgruntled and mumbling, he saddled up to ride. "Big mouthed woman", he grumbled, As he caught her eye. He leaned down to her, as he passed by, for a kiss and heard her whisper softly, "Thank you, Biff, you're better than this." |

This is verrry similar to Dee Strickland Johnson's,
"Morning in the High Hills", the inspiration for a more personal rewrite, perhaps?????????? |
