Tony! Tony! Tony! Tony!

He's one of the realest guys in the sport. Doing it his way and getting the job done. Go get 'em!

realest?laugh yeah right!

he was the one that complained saying "drivers need to start driving with less aggression because it's getting too dangerous"

what was the first thing he did?he ran Matt Kenseth off the track and then tried to blame Kenseth for it! (because according to Stewart,a wreck is never his fault then he goes to his trailer and cries about it)

You have to understand that people say a lot of things that they don't neccessarily hold to be true. The heat of the moment brings out emotions. Everyone is guilty of it At the end of the day, I believe you'd find that most of the guys in the sport respect and would call Tony a friend. Case in point, the "Prelude to the dream". It wouldn't be so popular with the drivers if they though he was an a$$hole.

You're bringing up the incident at Daytona? I guess depending on which driver you like more might give you different take on the issue.

I happen to respect Tony "not a slave to PR" Stewart. He's a competitive driver, a good business man, and has a pretty decent heart. He does need a girlfriend. Someone should send him a link over to Mingle. lol

i just heard that the ranger was incredibly small (which i dont mind) but suffered from a lot of transmission problems and whatnot. perhaps i am overly-wary and terrified. im looking on craigslist and they have some pretty inexpensive rides.

The Ranger is the smallest of the compact pickups. But......
The Ranger wouldn't be one of the best selling trucks on the road if it was too small.

Why are you so keen on avoiding a Ranger? They're great trucks.

All trucks made today are decent. Ford, Nissan, Toyota, Mazda are all fine choices. The market is so competitive that manufactures can't survive with crap products. That being said, I would get out to the dealer's lots and drive a few different models and option levels to find what you're looking for. I would caution you against models with tiny 4-cyl engines, especially those coupled to automatic transmissions. You will quickly find out the it is simply not enough power to haul you and your cargo. But, you should still try one out just to make sure. There are some great deals to be had. Consider that new trucks are selling at a higher discount than used trucks due to demand.

My father has owned a 1997 Ranger since new. It has the 4.0L V6, 4wd, and manual transmission. It has been a great small truck for the family.

I guess I'll add one more thing to the list of topics that make adults argue like little children.

And to add to the topic:

Legend Of A Mind

Timothy Leary's dead.
No, no, no, no, He's outside looking in.
Timothy Leary's dead.
No, no, no, no, He's outside looking in.
He'll fly his astral plane,
Takes you trips around the bay,
Brings you back the same day,
Timothy Leary. Timothy Leary.

Timothy Leary's dead.
No, no, no, no, He's outside looking in.
Timothy Leary's dead.
No, no, no, no, He's outside looking in.
He'll fly his astral plane,
Takes you trips around the bay,
Brings you back the same day,
Timothy Leary. Timothy Leary.

Along the coast you'll hear them boast
About a light they say that shines so clear.
So raise your glass, we'll drink a toast
To the little man who sells you thrills along the pier.

He'll take you up, he'll bring you down,
He'll plant your feet back firmly on the ground.
He flies so high, he swoops so low,
He knows exactly which way he's gonna go.
Timothy Leary. Timothy Leary.

He'll take you up, he'll bring you down,
He'll plant your feet back on the ground.
He'll fly so high, he'll swoop so low.
Timothy Leary.

He'll take you trips around the bay.
He'll bring you back the same day.
