...who is the first person you turn to?
I was hit with a 24-hour bug this weekend and was not able to keep anything down for two days. Being all alone and over 500 miles away from my nearest family member, I still called Mom. Is Mom or Dad still your best friend? |

Hope you get to feeling better real soon! My Mom was the one, but she is no longer here with us. It really stinks to get sick and be alone. |

I had Strep Throat and Bronchitis at the same time last week. Heck yeah, I called my mommy!!

Nope, both my folks have passed on. I usually just unplug the phone, and turn on some movie I swiped off the web.

Oh yeah! I always call my mommy! And if it's something serious, I call my daddy! They always comfort me and advice me with anything. Especially when I had to go through a procedure to have a stone removed from my kidney.

 even when i am sick,the only person i count on is myself. i don't "need" anyone to take care of me. if i ever get really sick,that's what 911 is for. Being "needy" is a sign of weakness. be seeing you

I have an impulse to pray for death when Im sick, but usually just hug my child, and sleep alot.

I' helping my mom take care of my nephew, but I like to be alone and take car of myself whe I'm sick. |

Thanks for the "warm fuzzy" folks.
I lost my dad september 2007, but my Mom is still my best friend and I am more dependent on her now than ever. Glad to hear that so many people truly appreciate their parents. It's amazing how we go back to our upbringing after years of seeking indepence!
Glad that so many go back to family! PS: Feeling much better now...just an awful two days of not being able to keep anything down. Wonderful for weight loss though...LOL |

My parents are gone too but I know if I really need, I can call my daughter or son to help me..
