Hands down tanyaann is the Queen of not beating around the bush. Read this simple straight forward reply; you, like me will chuckle at the brilliance and blunt nature of her one word sentence. tanyaann wrote: I am thinking about a short road trip this summer. What are your suggestions? Which states are the most interesting to drive through? Any cool 'tourist trap' places? Where not to go? 35TOO wrote: HEY WANT TO GO TO TORONTO WITH ME?????????????? tanyaann wrote: No. I could not help myself, I was tickled by it. |

QUESTION RE: CHILD SUPPORT
|
|
The child support system in this country is completely retarded. The mother should keep the reciepts of everything she buys and the court should determine whether the items purchased were a necessity to the baby's health and well being. The father should reimburse those amounts. It's that simple. It's a universal solution for every case. And daycare bills, school fees, doctor co-pays, medications, extra cirricular activities, sports participaton fees, eight million birthday party gifts plus travel expenses, tutoring, music lessons, field trips, summer camp, school supplies, replacement items (ripped shoes, stolen backpack, wet school book, etc), christmas, birthdays, etc etc etc. Oh and teen years..... well that would take too long. You left out ALL of that. Oh, you left out utility and grocery expenses too. I'm guessing you don't have kids? That is exactly what I do not get about some of these guys, Children or no, they think/assume that the Mother is after them to make life hard for them. Yet they do not stop to consider what it was like growing up with one or both parents that actually did take the time to support them. I said this before about both parents at home, Dad with two jobs Mom with one; All of our meals were carefully planed, Breakfast was measured for one bowl of cereal and milk, Lunch was PB&J with two cookies, and dinner was portioned out with no leftovers or seconds. That was just meals, we wore hand me downs from nearby cousins. I did not see a name brand shoe till I was Nine and that was only because I built a lawnmower, went out and hustled. I ended up leaving home at a very young age and never turned back to my parents, and I have never asked for a dime of help. The day after my Ex told me I was going to be a Father, I went out and took on a Third job to support what we already had. I was only home for two or three hours a week that first six months of my Daughter's life but She and her Mother wanted for nothing. Now my Ex is re-married we have two Children together, She and her Husband have a Third. I send home money each week, when she calls to ask, "Mortgage Payment is tight, can you help?" She knows there is no question about it I am there to help. New shoes for Track, uniforms for sports, fitted rackets for tennis, school clothes and supplies, the co-payment for doctor visits(Insurance I supply). Just gets on my nerves... It is easy to do the right thing, but these guys cry hard it is and create so much stress and drama by fighting over "Their Money". NO ONE can tell me "But the Economy I cannot find a job"... Sure you can, go mop some friggen floors... YOU cannot find the "dream job"... get off your ass, bust it and take care of your children... |

No matter how one sees it he owes it for excample if you go buy a car and stop paying on it cause the motor blew up will the dealership say ohhhh man I'm sorry let me clear that debt for you. Duhhhhhhhhhhh don't think so you will pay it one way or another. Now days they will garnish your wages and your income tax as well. And as far as having more kids that does not make a difference at all he should thought about that long time ago. So what if he leaves this one as well guess he would expect not to pay her child support either. Wonder what his excuse would be then. I only got $150 a month for 2 kids my choice I wanted out of the marriage did he pay it every month noooo but did most of the time. Now days once you file on them the state will pick it up and go with it. Prison would do no good at all heck make him get a second job and then maybe he will realize what he did wrong. It is a sad world we live in where these guys cannot stand up and do what is required. Pity that "Forcing" someone to get a second or third job is the standard, they should have already made that choice on their own; but want to cry their pity party on how the world does them so wrong... It should not been a matter of choice to pay a meesly $150 per month that is what? the Water bill for a month? (had to change that) That totally sucks... man this topic gets my goat... |

It's funny to me when "scenarios" like this get written out, or even spoken about....the sterotypical assumption that it's going to be the man (father) who pays. It's as bad as watching cop shows, and the the cops are always trying to "get the guy who (insert crime here)". It, in fact not funny, but the facts are that it is MOSTLY men that are doing this anyway. Not being stereotypical... just typical. This can easily apply to Dead Beat Mothers as well... just so happens that there are fewer of those from what I see. |

I'm sorry I don't follow. What is the work program? How does placing man in jail bring her financial relief and reduce his debt? Does the state pay her for his incarceration? Keep in mind - financial assistance was not used by woman/child. While in prison the subject is charged a certain amount for each day they are incarcerated. (Three hots and a Cot lets say $60/day) While in Prison subject joins a work program(oft times cleaning the highway at lets say $10/hr for 12 hours 6 days a week) $720 /week then after deductions it comes out to $300/week in support repayment. at $15600 per year the subject spends 40 months incarcerated and repays debt. |

QUESTION RE: CHILD SUPPORT

Owing a debt is owing a debt... 50k? this guy should be in prison working it off in my opinion. that number seems awfully low to me anyway if this person only paid support for six to ten months... they both agreed on an amt - much lower than the court ordered amount to enable man to pay w/o hardship. Ques, how would he work it off if he's placed in prison? Paying with out hardship is the same as enabling mediocrity... I do not believe we should reinforce failure with the reward, he should be working harder. My Father and Mother worked themselves to the bone as I grew up staying together through think and thin. My Father worked as a Guard at a local jail and as a Deputy Sheriff while my Mother worked as a buyer for a local retailer. Paying with out hardship... There are such things as work programs and plenty of men whom owe much less that are currently working it off in prison now. Oh sunshine, I'm with you, but my question is still unanswered. how does placing the debtor in jail, work of his debt? **keep in mind the woman never utilized government assistance** The Work Program... ^^^ |

So I go take a look at her profile, and she's 28, and she says "I'm only interested in talking to guys 27-29." I find it hard to have a conversation with this person because they likely have this etched into their stainless steel counter top at home. Well, I'm the first to stand up for anybody's right to have whatever standards they want to have. By God, if you're only interested in dating guys who are 5'4" and weigh 287 pounds and work third shift in a napkin factory, and have a pet hamster named Cletus, I support that. Why? I don't know. It just seems like that's the sort of thing it would be hard to talk someone out of. I would love to have a conversation with a Woman who is this specific, it means she knows what she whats... Not really hard to talk her out of it but more of a reason to WANT to talk her out of it and I could always get a hamster named Cletus. |

I happen to agree, he still owes. Just looking for input from others on either side of the fence. *update* Man is remarried and has 2 other children (which are minors), does that change the fact that he owes for 1st child? Wow... this guy makes hard working folks and stand up Fathers look bad... NO it should not change the fact that he owes... but he can still go around planting more seeds of failure... And we wonder why people are so jaded about the Father figures in their lives. Sure you should not have to rely on "support" to make your way or take care of your Child, but damn why take the responsibility to Father a Child and not have some sense of moral obligation to make sure your offspring never want for anything. At least stand up and be a role model and set the standard to which your Child views others. |

I'm not gonna repeat my question cause its been said 2wice on here already but this message is for guys who is into video games. It counts if u was a big time video gamer, I'm talking sega, nintendo, sony, microsoft game, that type. so sorry if i'm not being specific but thats what i really mean by that topic. :) And I was answering your question, not going around it... "I honestly cannot say what single game I would think a woman would turn me on to watch her play..." Before you get much more judgmental... I had a cheese sammich and a diet coke for supper. I need a mom........or a reasonable fascimile. That is funny... I got caught up in Northern Montana over Thanksgiving this last year. I was fighting to get home but the little bit of snow and ice was making the run hard, so I hit this rest area and called home to let everyone know I was not going to make it... Twenty minutes go by and my Mom calls back to tell me I need to eat more than those silly survival meals... I told her I had peanut butter too. She said if I were there I would be getting smacked for being a smartass. |
