Topic: Love & thanks ~ to our beloved Soldiers... | |
---|---|
Many loving hugs and well intended kisses for our armed forces.
I am happy I have met and helped so many of you! I promise to do my duty to continue to support you the best I can if you can promise to continue loving the job you do. Yes, I will say it. If you do not love your job, I suggest you get out while you can. Sadly, a good few of the soldiers I have helped are miserable and regretting joining. I am doing the best I can to keep your morales up, because I have been doing my research and have had some close encounters myself in my quest. Sadly, according to Pentagon statistics, from 1980 to 2002 4,969 U.S. servicemembers killed themselves. As a cause of death for military personnel, suicide ranked behind accidents (20,609 from 1980 to 2002) and illness (6,436 from 1980 to 2002). But there were more suicides than deaths from hostile action, terrorist attack, homicide or undetermined causes put together over the 22-year period. From 1980 to 2003, the overall military suicide rate ranged from a high of 15 per 100,000 in 1995 to a low of 7.7 per 100,000 in 2002. That compares to an overall U.S. suicide rate of 10.8 per 100,000 in 2001, according to the National Center for Vital Statistics. Please, I/we love you and want you to come home safely. My prayers go out strongly for those who think that taking one's own life is the final answer. Bear with it, sweethearts. We love you and want you to come home SAFE and SOUND. Okay, I finally found it. My soldier's homecoming. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8fmSJorwLKM 0:56 seconds into the YouTube film, you will see him talking to another person while holding his youngest daughter. He is my hero! just waiting for him to come back over here after his trip to Texas! May God Bless the Big Red One. I fought alongside them in Desert Storm. They kicked A$$, and took names. I really liked the Soldier near the end of the clip that said "It's time to make babies". Well, Bud, yes it is. ATTN: Joe and Jane Q. Public - Have any bad feelings about what our Government is doing? Thank YOUR military for giving you the Right to gripe without fear of Death. Don't HATE the Soldiers, HATE the Politicians that put them there. I served for 9 years- in peace, and in War. I am personally AGAINST them being there myself, I wish they all came home. BUT, I would rather have a grenade shoved up my pooper than to dis any man or woman in uniform from America. As the Marines say- SEMPER FIDELIS - ALWAYS FAITHFUL !!! |

Does anyone remember the last words of the men who took the plane down in Pa on 9-11?
If I remember correctly... "Let's Roll".....
On Flight 93, the last words were "Are you guys ready? Let's roll.", which would later become the war cry for those fighting Al Qaeda in Afghanistan.
