We had beautiful bagpipes played this morning to honor fallen soldier's families and gave yellow roses to those who had a relative give his/her life.
We live in a VERY military city, with the Air Force Academy, Fort Carson, Fort Peterson and Norad not far away.. |

(((Vanessa))) Just got word that my nephew, Captain Robert Davidson, has made it safely to Kuwait. Now to just keep him in our thoughts and prayers that he will return home safely, when his tour is through.
God Bless and keep our many men and women, serving in the military, safe and free from harm. |

Yes, I do support you folks in the armed forces. No, I don't have a bumpersticker. I understand your frustration. If I could, I would change places with any of those there. I tried to reup. but I am one of Uncle Sam's broken toys already. So the answer from all of the services was no. Sorry I let you down.

Alot of my friends are broken now and I understand YOUR frustration. My message was not geared towards you. One way you all can help is to register with ANYSOLDIER.COM and write these soldiers personal letters and send them little stuff like: ( females: toe nail polish, Bath and Body Works) ( Males: Axe body wash, etc.) Dvd's, Cd's and plenty of photos of you in your home state. Like, I loved it when my pen pal sent me photos of her near the lake, or playing with her dog. You don't see stuff like that in Iraq. Or, hey what about gift certificates to McDonalds. Walmart etc....Make sure they don't expire in 15 months....lol. ( $ 20 is fine ) Now, if soldiers ask you for big stuff like cars, stereos etc.... just ignore. They are abusing the pen pal system. There is a woman who just sent me letters ( she was probably 79 years old) and she kept me up to date with her personal life. I would get these letters from her at the worst times. But, it made me smile and kept me going for another month. I still write her. Her name is Connie and I love her! That is how you support the troops! Love ya guys, Sgt Peters, Tiffany |
