"Barry" on HBO Max. Bill Hader will win an Emmy for this show. It is about a hit man who wants to give up the business and become an actor.

Yes! I agree with you about Jonathan. I was prepared not to like him, because he's a beefcake, a good provider and so good at challenges. I think that often times other players feel like players like him have an unfair advantage so they're quick to vote them off. But he's actually really intelligent, and he's got some self-control...he bites his tongue a lot instead of letting the others know when they irritate him. He's not just good in physical challenges, he's good at puzzles and everything else too. I would not hate it if he won. But I don't think the jury likes him enough to vote for him.

I definitely don't think Romeo will win either. At first I really liked him but then when his paranoia started running rampant, and he wasn't doing anything around camp, and was stealing bites of rice when the others weren't looking, I stopped liking him.

I wouldn't mind any of the others winning, actually. And I still think MaryAnn has a chance! Even though she has annoyed some people, I don't think anyone actually dislikes her. Some people get bitter and hold a grudge when people vote them out, and although Maryann did participate in the blind sides, she didn't really mastermind them (except for Omar). There's something to be said about outlasting all the others on the other side. Whether it's being likable, appearing nonthreatening, or playing under the radar, she's still there. Even though she's not wily and crafty, and she doesn't win challenges, I think she's played a great social game. She could swoop in at the end and pull some big moves. She's still got an idol (if I'm not mistaken), so she's got potential. I'm rooting for her or Mike.

Have you seen all the seasons? Who has been your favorite player?

If they only had two finalist, Jonathan would have a chance (slight), but with three finalist it's definitely Lindsay's or Mike's win.

Mike still has an idol so both he and Maryanne will be in the final 4. Romeo has no chance against any pair, so they shouldn't even bother worrying about voting him off at this stage.

Although Maryanne made some moves and is liked by the jury, it depends on which two she's sitting beside. If she goes with Lindsay and Mike she loses. With Jonathan and Romeo a maybe; but I don't think Jonathan will get there unless he wins the next two idols. So if Jonathan makes the final, I see Mike and Romeo with him. But even if they take Maryanne instead of Romeo, she loses. I really can't see any path that will land her in first place. I would be shocked (like extremely)laughshocked if she won.

If it were two players, easy win if she took Romeo. All the others, she'd still have to fight for votes. Because the jury doesn't like Jonathan, he would maybe be the next person she could win against.

Yep, I've watched every seasonsmile2

My favorite player is Boston Rob. He is a brilliant player. Although he's only officially won one season, he's a big part of why Amber won. He could have voted her off and none of the other two had even a slim chance against him. As it was, she only beat him by one vote. They met on that season, got married and now they have four children. The things he did to keep her safe, went wayyy beyond game.

I also like Sandra, Ozzy and Rupertlaugh Some might say Sandra is the greatest player and she is amazing....won twice without ever winning one immunity challenge....but I favor Rob because of his personality.

When it came out I didn't like it much but I was more into action etc. at the time. I decided to give it another whirl and now I am thoroughly enjoying it :)

Hi TechFairy! waving

I just now finished watching the Survivor finale and had to get on here and ask what you thought. Were you satisfied with the outcome?

waving Hey Bonnie - I waited for you to post because I didn't want to spoil it for you:slight_smile:.

I was sooo happy that your "dorky" player was able to pull it offlaugh Yes, very satisfied with the outcome. Maryanne was by far the only one ready for the jury. Even Romeo held his own. I am beyond disappointed with Mike. I can't begin to imagine how he feels, now...after he gets home, and he can look back. Can you imagine having 5 of the jury saying that you basically lost the win because of how you answered their questions? DANG!!!

I thought it would be a 5, 4 vote before the questions started, (with no one voting for Romeo). But as soon as Mike answered the first question I was like, "no, no, no." Didn't he watch ANY of the finales? If you don't admit to the game you played, the jury always gives the win to someone else, no matter how well you played.

How about you? What did you think of those last two episodes? Anything surprised you?

I was so happy she won! I thought she did a fantastic job with the jury. I agree with you that she was the only one who seemed to have prepared. I was pretty disappointed in Mike's performance. He was all over the place and did not have a clear explanation for his strategy. He had the potential to take the whole thing. Have you seen Survivor Australia? The winner of Season 3 (Kristie) was brilliant in the way she handled the jury. She didn't make a lot of big moves, and people thought she was a goat who just road everyone's coattails, but she had a valid explanation for everything she did and won over the jury. I keep hoping our Survivor players will do something like that. I think that keeping your head down, avoiding making enemies and just outlasting everyone is a legitimate strategy.

I really enjoyed this season! But I didn't really love that last season and this one had the results read while on the island. I get that they probably had to do that due to Covid, but I felt a little let down that the cast members didn't get their big finale celebration with their families and audience members.

Can't wait for the next season, though. Like you, I've seen every season, and some seasons more than once. My favorite player is Cochran, but I do enjoy the more well-known players like Boston Rob and Tony.

I do like Cochran too:slight_smile:. Isn't he and JT the only two who swept the jury?

Mike did everything that should have gained him the win. He even had to make fire. Who goes through all that and then just flops with the explanation? In that moment he reminded me of a 10-year-old who didn't realize he was playing a game.

No, I haven't watched any of the other countries'. Sounds like Romeo could have done what Kristie did, because you are correct; that is definitely a great strategy. But they really need to be good enough to sell it to the jury.

Yep, once saying who won on the island was ok for me. I wanted them back in the studio this time too.

Do you watch The Challenge as well? I've seen some players from other countries' Survivor on that show.

Slow Horses

I've only watched one episode so far. The first few minutes were really fast-paced. The rest dragged, and was a little like watching paint dry. But I started watching because of the speech I saw Gary Oldman giving on the preview. Wayyy too funny for me to miss seeing/hearing that in action, so I guess I'll keep watching.

Stranger Things

I guess it was a little better than Season Three (not really sure though). Why are there soooo many storylines? My head is still spinning, trying to keep up with who is where/what and why???

But, I will, of course tune in for the next chapters in July.

Any Ken Burns Directed Documentary whenever it airs (a lot lately). Most of the subject matter, although interesting, isn't even my very favorite.

IE...i like learning about history and how it informs our current situation(s) but wouldn't call myself a "Civil War Buff". I like going to baseball games, but it is rare that I'd watch one on tv or pay attention to stats until the last 1/3 or 1/4 of the season. I am pretty selective about the Jazz or (moreso) Country music I care about.

It's just that the approach is so balanced, shows many sides to many coins. The series are incredibly evocative mostly with simple narration over B&W Historical Photos and Facts (How'bout tha?). No over produced hype yet captivating!! Educational AND as Entertaining as television (for me) can be.

Suspicion
One episode in and I'm giving it a 10. However, I am biased, because I love Elyes Gabel. But...it's got everything to make you rush through the season, suspense, action, good storyline.

"Pistol" - Series based on the 'Sex Pistols' and the punk movement in Britain. Directed by Danny Boyle and incredibly impressive as a series.

I just finished season 2 of Stranger Things and I'm impressed.
At first I thought it was a kids show because it focused on kids but this show would terrorize some of the younger kids.
Some truly terrifying depictions and the creatures are cool too.
I read season 5 has been greenlit.

Yesterday I started watching Suspicion, mentioned here by someone.
4 episodes in I still don't know anything much as they keep it vague. I got fed up with that and decided to watch something else.
Bit of vague is okay, but it should be carefully balanced with snippets of info so you keep watching for more. Suspicion doesn't do that.

Then watched "Under Suspicion" with Morgan Freeman and Gene Hackman. I had seen it before some time ago I think.
Another waste of time, hihi.

I hope I'll have better luck tomorrow. Time for bed now.
