Smiles are not always appropriate -and many don't want to "try" to smile.
When you are positive and life is going well, great -but that's just not always the case. I am extremely positive, actually -but that doesn't change the fact that there are difficult times. It has definitely helped get me through them, but when you're sucking on a huge lemon it understandably affects your expression. Non-smiles can also express positive things about or for someone |

The Mona Lisa comes to mind. Some seem to find her coy closed-lip smile alluring. Personally I'm self-conscious about my smile because I have a broken front tooth. Closed-lip or toothy, I appreciate smiles that exude warmth and joy. My last husband had a chipped tooth and was embarresed about it. All his pics were closed lipped smiles. I still fell in love with his personality and his 'Di Vinci' smile. Genuine people dont sweat the small stuff. Nah -I don't think loving old couples are there for the physical attraction |

So, after a year, my mate and I from Mingle finally met.
He was surprised I had pearly whites, I said 'Why'? He said all my pics had no smiles so he assumed I had bad teeth hahahaha I explained that I HATED taking pics and felt they were fake so if anyone snapped a pic I was usually growling ;-) |

With the camera representing XII on the imaginary horizontal clock.....
Turn torso almost 90 degrees so (depending on "good side") L shoulder is at 11 o'clock or R shoulder is at 1 o'clock. Turn face toward shoulder that is closest to camera so the corner of that eye is even with but does not cross the plane of your collar bone. Now act like somebody said something super funny then close your teeth to hide your suspended tongue without letting the corners of your mouth droop. .....now try to look natural |

.....now try to look natural Lmho. The Rulebook on how to smile. I know right. It's apparently a LOT of unnatural contortion to get an "organic" head shot with full teeth The state of Georgia seems to be best at it with big teeth smilers like Gladys Knight, Jimmy Carter, Ray Charles, and Julia Roberts to name a few. |
