I was wondering what charities do you give to? I decided a few years back to only give locally or in state. Locally I give to a homeless shelter and children’s hospital which I give $100 to and in state I give to EasterSeals and Mercy Ships which I give $50 to.

GreenPeace. Currently a small amount each month, prior to that I did it for a year for a specific project they were working on.
GreenPeace is the only one I always longed to be able to give to.

And I give a bit when there are collections at the door, usually for research for a specific disease.

I give to the MSA Trust which is close to my heart.

It stands for Multiple System Atrophy and is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder whereby your body slowly shuts down. There is no treatment and no cure for this disease.

MSA took my brother’s life.

I usually buy stuff in charity shops, for example Barnados.

Also regular donations when I clear out my wardrobe or get unwanted gifts and the regular shoebox appeal (toiletries mainly) to a homeless charity, which is organized by a football club down the road.

The homeless shelter I give is Good Samaritan Rescue Mission and the children’s hospital is Driscoll Children’s Hospital. On occasion I’ve given to our local food bank.

I shop at my local thrift store. All the workers are volunteers and the money goes to the town animal shelter.

The Best Thing One can Give as Charity are Dresses and Food . MONEY, I don't think is the best Kind of Donation to any Trustee bcoz sometimes it wont reach the End User.

I am a pushover -I have to plan my route when low on funds so as not to keep handing out money at traffic lights -but I actually prefer to give to individuals as so many are advised against it.

Sometimes I just need a beer, too... so I get it.

I was a regular donor for Goodwill , till I saw how much the CEO was making , and an investigation revealed much more ... so basically now I give out to those in dire need , and don't expect a tax receipt!!!!

I donate to salvation army. Also, buy there. Every sale there helps. Only wish my salvation army store near me was less messy.
