I believe we live in a world where lack of understand has made it difficult for people to find true love

maybe because people cant agree on their definition of the thing they seek.

In the world of instant gratification, true love has very little chance unless , it is instant and then slowly develops ....

too many people lie to themselves or to others. it is hard to trust anybody. I see too many marriage divorce also or married but bad relationship. Is true love worth all that fianancial and emotional pain. I question that all the time. Haven't found the answer yet. I am just enjoying my peaceful life right now. I wonder if I should take a chance and disturb my peaceful life. I see my friend's life in a wreck because of love. I am very cautious now. I broke up with my fiancee since 2011 and I am still hurting sometimes. I find it difficult to move on but I am more ok as time goes by. Is it worth it. I don't even know yet.

Easier and less painful to live alone and avoid any thought of love or relationship. Talking to plants is all the company you need.

ONE WOMEN I WAS TALKING WITH WOULD ALWAYS SABOTAGE EVERY

RELATIONSHIP SHE WAS IN....WE FOUND OUT THAT IN HER HEART SHE

BELIEVED SHE DID NOT DESERVE TO BE HAPPY........UNFORTUNATELY WE

CONCENTRATE ON RELATIONSHIP SURFACE NOISE AND NOT THE REAL

PROBLEM....WE HAVE TO UNDERSTAND OURSELVES FIRST BEFORE WE

UNDERSTAND OTHERS.....

The problem finding it is due to a general lack of it.

We love each other less and less -have less actual concern for the well-being of others. We focus on ourselves more and more -to the detriment of ourselves as well as others. We do not educate on the subject. We lack natural affection more and more due to becoming callous from experiencing the opposite. We divide into offense and defense.

Even those who love truly often do not know how to do it correctly.
Love is something you have for another -ideally each other, but if you do not have the necessary understanding and skills it can go terribly wrong.
The understanding and skills can be taught -but it is the one subject we teach the least.

It is true that we have to first learn to treat ourselves well -care about ourselves -which often includes unlearning what we were taught one way or another -and filling a void left by a lack of love and care in the first place.... so we can get past and out of ourselves enough to show love to someone else properly -but love is outward. It is wanting the best for another and acting accordingly (as well as being in awe of another and sharing the worlds without and within).

I wanna truly love someone. But unfortunately I can't find anyone to love. That could be a factor.

Maybe the bar is set too high in the search, so love is never really given the chance to blossom.

Yes. I agree . We should know his/her past, present and future. Most important is what he/she thinks about me.

I think you are not fully focused. It's easy to find love. But you should choose a correct person and true love. Many of them looking for sex but you are different . Keep it up. Don't change your character,I think you will meet a great loved one who can product and accept you in any situation.
