We had snow flurries this morning here. Sounds like you are having many new experiences River. Hopefully that will be the last of them for you Cutie  Yes, lots of new experiences. I'm really enjoying being here.

Be careful with the early crowd. My brother managed a C-store for seveal years and he always had complaint from locals who wanted their fresh hot coffee and donuts every morning right on time. His store was located near a mining town in the mountains and he learned the people there can be awful ruff and trying. Early crowds is one of my specialties  Thanks Bob, but I'm not too worried about it, I see it more of a law of attraction kind of thing. If I go into work being weary of the cranky 'gimme my coffee' kind of customers, then that's exactly what I will get. However, if I go in there bright and chipper, full of positive energy, then more often than not, I will get that in return. That's how it was for me in the two years I opened the C-store in New Hampshire. I've been blessed with the ability to see sunshine in darkness, and I'm pretty good at turning those frowns upside down.  I guess I should have know you'd be chipper in life since you're so chipper on M2! I happen to know of a single female who got a job in a pharmacy and she has been heartbroken by all the attacks she gets each day. Customers can be particularly challenging these days. That's a shame she took it personal and let their behavior have that kind of power over her. I agree it can be challenging at times. Reminding oneself that it's not always about me often helps with that. |

Guessing you go into work with a very positive attitude and it rubs of on all the customers ..... that's the way to do it !

Hope that Pizza was worth the drive into Jackson!! Thanks Slim, enjoy your Friday as well. Yes, the pizza was great! I ended up getting one from the whole food store. It had an organic whole wheat crust with corn meal, organic portabella mushrooms, organic sun-dried tomatoes, organic seasoning and organic whole milk mozzarella cheese... Absolutely delicious!  I went way overboard shopping there, but the food looked so good and it's been a week since I've had fresh salads and my healthy snacks. The employee dining room opens tonight, so I didn't really need to be buying more food. But, I'm not sure what they'll be serving, so it will be good to still have my healthy stuff in case they aren't serving fresh fruits and salads at this time. It's going to be limited and take out for the time being, due to covid. Should be interesting, haha. |

Good morning River!  Sounds like you had an exciting day off....hope you took some pics of the waterfalls! I bet it was really beautiful up there! I’m glad your car got you there and back safely. Sounds like you need a Jeep to take you to some of those places you went to   Have a good weekend....and be sure to post some pics when you get a chance!

Here's a picture of fall creek falls, I was only able to get part of it. I was too dizzy to try and climb down a bit or venture on the path to see more of it, plus I didn't know there was more of it until I googled it just now, lol. I'm thinking I need to use a camera instead of my phone. I noticed a lot of the pics I'm taken are a bit fuzzy due to zooming in to get a better shot.
 The next photo I got online, it shows more of it. I'm going to go back when there's not so much snow. And I'll take the easier route so I don't get so dizzy Looks even more beautiful in the summer  My boss got a good shot of the little cave. I guess there's a small cave that you can walk into to go behind the falls. Very cool! |

A jeep would have been much better Although I think if I learned how to use the gears, my car might have done better. I left it in drive, probably should have put it in 2nd gear??? It was exciting either way. My birthday is on Thursday, and it's supposed to be close to 60F and mostly sunny. Hopefully I won't have to move to the other dorm so I can go play and explore other things. There's a herd of bison not far from here, about a half hour away. I want to go see them.

WooHoo, I saw a bear today for the first time! I was leaving for work and decided to drive through the village to warm up my car. When I got back to the main road to head home, there was a bear in the middle of the road, lol. I stopped the car and put on my emergency lights so I could watch it and take a few pictures. It got as close as 40ft or so away from me. So cool! It headed towards the parking lot of the store but then ventured off into the woods.
It's been an exciting day!

I had a nice day. I went to Idaho Falls to look for a better camera and a bathing suit, but didn't find anything I liked. Guess I'll shop amazon My plan on the way back was to take a detour to see the bison. It was going to be a few miles out of the way. I was too tired and wanted to get home, so decided to wait until tomorrow. But then a few miles down the main road the herd was in the field right next to the road. I pulled over and watched them for a bit, and took some pictures. That was the highlight of my day.

I did a little more sightseeing today.
My boss let me use her camera, holy cow what a difference in the pictures. It's similar to the one I'm looking at on Amazon, so I decided to order it as a birthday present to myself. I stopped at a dude ranch for lunch. Not sure what was better, my burger or the eye candy  Both were delicious! |
