Delightful... Yes, time sure did fly by. No, I decided to wait until I get there. Or at least until the last week in October. I revised my resume on a job searching site and just doing that I'm already getting emails from prospective employers. The two that contacted me want me to get in touch with them shortly before I arrive. My former boss from Hawks Cay is now at another resort and he wants me to let him know when I'll be back. And my niece manages a food truck and she always needs help. Another option would be to go back to working in the schools, they are screaming for paraprofessionals... those are teacher assistants positions in special education. When I did a quick search there were 100's of jobs to choose from within a 40 mile radius of where I'll be. The winter season there is November through February, so I'll be getting there at the perfect time for even more positions opening up. Wow, you've got lots of irons in the fire! Very nice to have options like that. I hope everything goes the way you want it to, River! |

Tell him to get his butt back here lol Lol, you should know better than that Blondey, no one tells that rascal what to do. But, I will let him know that he's missed. My room is still there if I want it. And I might visit for a short time after the holidays. Otherwise it will have to wait until I'm up in that area again. It will be strange not having a white Christmas this year, the last four Christmas's I've spent in colder climates. Thanks Blondey |

hi River!
The time sure has gone by so fast....here it is Fall already! I guess you don’t have much more time to go before you’re ready to head out for the season. Have you decided yet where you think you’ll be going? I hope it will be the place you’re looking forward to the most, at least you have a few options to consider! Did you get to see the full Harvest moon a few nights ago? It was so big and bright...and beautiful Wish I could have got a few pics of it but they never turn out very well... Take care and enjoy the rest of your week! |

Hi Dee
I posted on the previous page my plans for my trip back. I'm going to Key Largo for the winter. I'll be staying in my home there. I'm not sure where I'll work yet, but there are a lot of places to choose from. No one wants to work, so there's a ton of job openings. Yes, I was able to see the full moon the last couple of nights, but early in the morning. I didn't get a chance to see it at it's peak. Unfortunately I'm not going to make it up to West Virginia It would add close to 1000 miles to my trip. Hopefully next Spring and Summer it will be possible. I want to find something on the Eastern side of the US. Enjoy the rest of your week as well. |

Oh, that’s okay ! I think next Spring would be a better time for you to stop by neighborhood Hopefully things will be better everywhere by then! We can only hope Glad you’re going home for the winter! I bet ya won’t miss the cold snowy weather! 🌨🌬 I think the Farmers Almanac says that in my part of the country we’ll be having sub freezing 🥶 temps and above average snowfall.... so I better be ready for it! But I’m not looking forward to it! |

Holy cow, average snow fall is fine, but subzero temps, no thanks
Yes, it will be nice to spend winter in a warm climate, but I will miss the snow. I actually like snowy weather, lol. Although my bones and joints don't Yes, hopefully in the Spring things will be better as far as covid goes. |

Then, it's a slight detour about an hour and a half away. There's someone special I'm going to meet. That's great River! I hope it goes well for you. You deserve it! |

There's much to do and only about ten more days to get ready.
I seem to have gotten off track of my OP and mission statement with all my romanticizing over something that was non-existent. Oh well, chit happens, lol. But, now it's time to get back on track and make this about Me! Exploring me and exploring the country. I decided not to visit the Big Horn Medicine Wheel and Devil's Tower. It's too late into the year, weather can change quickly and be quite brutal. I didn't realize the medicine wheel was at an elevation of close to 10,000 feet. Hiking a mile and a half to the wheel would most likely do me in, haha. Instead, I'm going straight to Hot Springs, Arkansas... as originally planned to bask in the greatness of Mother Earth. I'll be spending four days there so will have plenty of time to fit in a pamper me silly spa day. Two nights on the beach is still a go. I've always wanted to see the sandy white beaches in the Panhandle of Florida. My room has a balcony, with a view of the Gulf of Mexico... can't wait for those sunsets and sitting out in the middle of the night to see the stars and moon shining above the ocean. I'll still be stopping in Tampa to see my niece, and visit the sacred Native American mound that's there. It's also on a ley line and a major vortex... only it's a little closer to sea level and shouldn't have the same spinning/vertigo affect that the higher altitudes had on me, haha. And yes, I will take plenty of pictures this time. I plan on only traveling abot 400 miles a day. That will give me plenty of time to take little breaks and enjoy the scenery. WooHoo... the ten day final countdown is here! |

hi River!
Love the recent pics you posted! Gorgeous scenery out there...I see the leaves have already turned colors! They’re just starting to turn very little here, so far. Another couple of weeks they should be at their peak. We haven’t had much rain this summer so they won’t be very vivid but still pretty ! Can’t wait to hear more about your upcoming adventure, and see more pics! |
