Haha, I figured as much concerning the wisdom. :)
My plan, when I leave here, is to return to Florida for a few months. At least for the winter months. I have a home there, and I now have part ownership of the property. Expenses will be minimal to live there, so if I choose to only work part time while working towards what I truly want to do, it will be quite possible. Of course my sister has major plans for what I'll do with my life, haha, but that's okay. Some of her ideas are actually things I'd really like to do. Others, not so much, and I will tell her so, haha. When it comes to the business aspects of being self employed, and tapping into one's creativity, she is brilliant! I may actually learn a thing or two from her, especially now that I'm open to it. I definitely don't want to be there year round, I still want to do seasonal work and travel part of the year. But, at least I now have my own home to go back to, in between traveling. That is, and always has been, very important to me. |

Wow, that's great! Also your sister being able to help you out. So much better when you have someone that supports you.
Great stuff to look forward to :) |

Yes, it is! And we're both at a place now where our combined energies will create beautiful things... it truly is wonderful!

Yes, really great! I'm happy for you that sister relations are going well and that you have a place to call 'home'! So damned important, even if you want to travel around, maybe even more so then.

BTW... have you had any bear sightings yet? The one with her cubs? I believe you saw her once but have you seen her more often?

Thanks Crystal
I saw a couple black bears over the last month, but 399, the grizzly with four cubs, hasn't been seen yet around here. Once it starts getting cooler, she'll most likely be back. The grizzlies head North or higher in the mountains during the hotter months. The last I saw her was the end of May, across the street from the store I work at. There's a mama deer and her two fawns wondering around the woods near the store right now. They were on the end of the road into the village earlier today. The fawns are adorable. As soon as the grizzlies come back, the deer and black bears will move out. So that will be one sign that they are around, no other wildlife, haha. |

Enjoy it for me too, please, haha. Bears would scare me, no matter how much I'd like to see them in the wild. I'm used to goats, cows, and maybe geese, which I hate btw, hihi. They freak me out as they attack and hammer and pick with their beaks. But seeing a grizzly for real must be something!! Enjoy the show when the shift of animals happens :) |

I'm not sure how long these will be visible, but here are the fawns.
The bears make me a little bit nervous, but I usually stay in my car so I can put up the window really quick, haha. I haven't run into any while hiking, yet. |

You're welcome, Dee
Eventually I'll get my photos organized and on a host site where they won't disappear, but for now I'm still using FB. So they might disappear in a day or two. |

Horseback riding was awesome! My horse, Miss Kitty, was great. She was one of the slower ones, but sped up when I wanted here. After the ride, we all got to feed treats to our horses, that was fun. And I still have all my fingers!

Wonderful you got to do it and had fun! Nice photos, River!
I remember the last time I got on a horse. The horse was my ex husband's and I was there to drop off our kids for the weekend. So I put my foot in the stirrup and... that was it, hahahahahaha. I actually needed a step to get on it?!?!?! I was shocked that I couldn't do it anymore, embarrassed a wee bit about that, although I did see the fun of it. My kids were laughing their heads off and my ex tried to be polite be he was highly amused as well, haha. I was about 38 at the time, really couldn't believe it. What the bleep had happened?! Come to think of it, I was cool about it as I was with people I felt comfortable with so there was no need to feel awkward. Had it been with strangers though, being caught by surprise my body failed me with what I could previously do... I would've crawled under a rock, hihi. So... wonderful you can do it! |

good morning River
Iβm so glad you finally got to go riding. Looks like you had lots of fun... love the pics I canβt even remember when the last time I went riding, itβs been that long ago I hope I get a chance to go again sometime before I get too old! Itβs been really hot and humid here the last few days and weβve been under heat advisories π₯΅ I remember seeing you had posted about it being in the 30s out there a few nights ago..... Iβm looking forward to those cooler temps.... then Iβll be griping about being too cold π₯Ά! Hope you have a wonderful enjoyable weekend! |
