Heck no! I meant I'm not going to go to the other places in Wyoming first. It's about 1,450 miles, so it will take me about three days to get there, maybe a little longer. I'm taking my time driving, but I do want to get there by the 16th at the latest so I can relax a bit.

Yeah, they've been turning for about three weeks now. Some spots are already over their peak, while other spots are just getting to their peak. It's pretty cool. Most places I've been pretty much all the trees turn at the same time. But with the varying altitudes, it different all over.

Ah, that makes sense! Still a helluva lot to drive in 3 days but I suppose it's rather normal for Americans :)

For some, yes. Others fly to their destination and rent a car. After 8 or 9 hours of driving, I'm pretty much done. It is a lot, but I actually like road trips. There's a lot to see, especially if I don't take the Interstates. They State Highways tend to have better scenery. I'll be doing a little of both because the Interstate highways are a much quicker way to get to your destination. The State Highways often take you through small towns where you have to reduce your speed limit.

Hi Dee Sorry, I just now saw this. Been busy packing

I'm leaving tomorrow! It's a couple days earlier than planned, but it's time to go. There's a winter storm watch in effect from late tonight through Tuesday night, so it's perfect timing to get out of here

I'll be stopping in Rock Springs Wyoming tomorrow so I can get an oil change. It's only a four hour drive, so I'll have plenty of time to get it done and rest up for the long day's drive on Tuesday. I'm hoping to get to Hot Springs, Arkansas on Thursday, or early on Friday. That will give me four days to enjoy the area.

I hope you had a wonderful weekend and that you and your hubby had a great anniversary.

Just a couple more hours and I'll be heading out. I have to wait for the housing office to open so I can check out.

Hopefully I will be able to stay ahead of the storm. There's a winter weather advisory, blizzard like conditions heading this way. I should be okay today, it's not going to hit here until late afternoon or tonight... but it's expected to hit Rock Springs in the morning, which is where I'm staying tonight

If it's too bad, I'll just stay another night and spend the day relaxing and soaking in the tub. My goal is to be in Hot Springs, Arkansas by Friday. So even if I'm snowed in for an extra night, I should be able to easily make my goal.

Thanks, me too! Although the fluffy white stuff would be okay, it's the freezing rain I'm concerned about. So far, it's just raining.

Car is loaded up and ready to go, I just have to wait another half hour for housing to open up.

Indian summers are great! I'm glad you're enjoying some nice weather being winter sets in.

much traveling so it’s nice to see some of the things I’m missing out on
