Topic: What's for dinner tonight? - part 2 | |
---|---|
Green beans & various air-fryer snacks. Mini frikandel among them, in case Larsi is reading this, haha. And bitterballen. I actually read it It must be some 25 years ago I last had bitterballen Well ... kielbasa here with sweet potato chips from the air fryer Hi Larsi! They were delicious! I'll have to Google kielbasa, I don't know what that is. The Flemish version must be like the Dutch version? Kielbasa is a Polish sausage, btw Flemish version of bitterballen? Don't know. I've only ever had them over here. I did have the snacks with a blob of Belgian mayonaise. Yes, I'd Googled the kiebasa and it made me laugh a bit, hihi. Can you get those in a regular Irish supermarket? I've never seen them here. I think, the Flemish version uses a different batter, but not sure. And there is lots of Polish shops, they all have a craft butcher |

Apparently they were invented during the 80 year war by the Spanish, hihi. |

Tater tots baked in the oven with steak seasoning and topped with cheddar cheese. Steamed Brussels sprouts topped with salt, pepper and lots of real butter. Oh, can't ferget ma strawberry jello and the double dutch chocolate milkshake I'm making (yes, I certainly do have whipped cream). |

I'm thinking about cutting some Italian hot sausages into 1 inch bite sized pieces. Cutting up some sweet onion, fresh mushrooms, red pepper and adding a half a bag of summer blend; zucchini, squash and snap peas. Frying all that up in real butter with seasonings and spicy brown mustard and having that over some linguini.
Or... Broil the hot Italian sausage. Steam up some PO-boy buns. Saute sweet onions & peppers in real butter and honey. Making sammiches and topping them with cheddar cheese, spicy brown mustard, redneck lipstick and sweet relish. Its all making my mouth water just typing this. |

Salad. I'm thinking romaine lettuce, tomato, seedless cucumber, red onion, marinated red pepper, mandarin orange slices, green olives, feta cheese, and a bit of chicken breast. I'll marinate the chicken breast in an olive oil, garlic, salt, black pepper, thyme, and brown sugar marinade.
