And all who think i am trying to make women 2nd class citizens know that i am not. Before Yahshua death the woman who washed Yahshua's feet with her tears was praised as the men did nothing. It is possible this act upon which Yahshua thought upon before answering is where we get the foot washing at passover. He also said wherever this evangel is preached what this woman has done today would be told.Our society has went through a horendus transformation in the last 100 years. Just as Daniel prophesied. Yahweh has always wanted love. You show your love to him through obedience. Just as a parent is pleased when a child obeys them because they love them. No difference. Women came from man. Man was created as the image of Yahweh. We are to be under the authority of Yahshua our Messiah. This is an ordained chain of command from the beginning. Thier are no femine angels and thier are no femine aspect of the word when the New Jerusalem comes down adorned as a bride for her husband.Thier are no gates in the city named after women. Their are 24 elders in heaven worshipping Yahweh and the 2 witnesses who will be hated for the truth they speak are not women. The simple fact is just as it was in the beginning. Eve was a helpmate. This is to be cherished by her husband as Messiah is by us.A man the scriptures tell us at the age of 20 is fit to go to war. This is not true of a women. A daughter is under her father as long as he is alive untill she marries. In which the groom brings a offering to her father asking for her hand. At this point she is to leave father and mother and the 2 are to become 1. This is a great mystery that has not been taught as when we do away with the laws of Yahweh that he gave us from the beginning we can not see the truth or beauty of this. Since Yahshua told the people when asked this women had 7 husbands and no child who will be her husband in the ressurection. As the law says the bride of the 1st husband if he dies is to marry his next brother for his names sake. And this would go down through the 7 brothers as Yahshua was asked. He said you ere in the scriptures that we will be like the angels of heaven.The helpmate will return to the man as man returns to spirit as a servant of Yahweh. Now you can call this a cult teaching if you want but i am open to all truth if you can prove this wrong i will listen and change. So what we have at the New Jerusalem is the Garden of Eden being brought back. With the man adam free from sin. This is why the women are to teach the younger women in all humility and to love thier husbands. This is pleasing to Yahweh. Thier is much proof of women being servants to men, that they do willingly out of love. Thier was a prophetess who ruled over Israel as thier was no man ,man enough to step up and do the job. But never a priests. As Peter calls us a kingdom of Kings and Priests.... Take this not as a twisted bunch of malarky but prove to show yourself approved studying the scriptures.... Shalom of blessings... Miles

I dont have any scripture to quote or really an argument but I would like to share my experience here .
When I was a child I was forced into church 4 days out of the week at a strict pentacostal church . More often than not the message each time was hell fire and brimstone from yelling , red faced male preachers .
On special occasion a female Preacher named Sister Lily would preach and when she did it was always a message of love , compassion and the peace that she had found within the Lord .
I always remember her words being sweet and warm and being something that warmed your soul and made me want to believe . I can remember her now and it actually brings tears to my eyes . She passed away years ago and I am confident if there is a Heaven she is there .
If more preachers were like her then I am positive more people would find it easier to allow the idea of a God into there hearts .

Acts 2:17-19

And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:

==============================================================

Romans 16:7
Salute Andronicus and Junia, my kinsmen, and my fellow-prisoners, who are of note among the apostles, who also were in Christ before me.

==============================================================

Junia is a woman's name and here Paul calls her an apostle.

=============================================================

Acts 18:24-26

And a certain Jew named Apollos, born at Alexandria, an eloquent man, and mighty in the scriptures, came to Ephesus. This man was instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in the spirit, he spake and taught diligently the things of the Lord, knowing only the baptism of John. And he began to speak boldly in the synagogue: whom when Aquila and Priscilla had heard, they took him unto them, and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly.

=============================================================

Aquila and his wife Priscilla taught Apollos about God. Not just Aquila, but Priscilla too. She could preach, because as it is taught in 1 Corrinthians 11, her head was covered (A woman's head is her husband).

Red...you better read your Bible again. Women were placed on high.

I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh, and your sons and daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams. Even upon my slaves, both men and women, in those days I will pour out my Spirit; and they shall prophesy . . . Then everyone who calls on the Name of the Lord shall be saved. Joel 2.28-32; Acts of the Apostles 2.17-21

John's Gospel ends by saying it has just begun: 'But there are also many other things that Jesus did; if every one of them were written down, I suppose that the world itself could not contain the books that would be written ' (21.24). And in their pages is written down everyone of us in flesh and blood, children, women , men, all the One Body of Christ at the Heavenly Wedding Banquet, at the Sabbath of Sabbaths, Cana's wine, asked for by Mary, Tabgha's bread, brought by the child, Nazareth's Sabbath Lamps blessed and lit by Mary, and the questions Christ asks of the Elders at the Passover. 'Maranatha!'

God opposes the proud and gives grace to the humble.

Lay off him Red. You would do well to be as, he is. Walker is smart and has his beliefs. His heart is good and his mind in tact. As for his backbone. He will take care of that himself.

Walker: "miles if u read the bible word by word. u r missing a lot. the historical and cultural context have to be always considered. now the catholic church has taken these verses word by word. My personal view is that women can preach. As matter of fact most of them preach everyday through their example."

Yes, that was the point I was trying to make earlier. You always have to take into consideration the historical and cultural context. The depth of the Bible can't just be "read" like your average book.

Walker, what you say reminds me of a great quote:

"Preach the Gospel at all times and use words if necessary."
- St. Francis of Assisi

That depends on where you are reading Red. The mentality tends to change somewhere in there. Some verses were even written after a certain man died in the Bible. Showing the change in mentality towards women.
WE ARE EQUAL IN GODS EYES...

Why don't any of you ask my female Rabbi this question?

Shaking head and leaving room. You all know better. It's all in the interpretation.

this is a moot point and discussion.
its plain and clear why there are no women preachers, except for those backdoor groups that don,t know any better and have no authority except their own twisted minds.
