Exactly Kat, and that is why things are the way they are.

I believe you pretty much see what i am saying. As for Angels and Adam I was pointing out the sexless part you had said about them. Which brought me back to Adam and why Yahshua said what he did in my earlier posts.. May Yahweh Bless Your House... Miles

I would like to quote from Acts 2: 17-18, which is quoted in fulfillment of an earlier prophecy recorded in Joel 2: 28-29: "...and it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh: and your sons AND YOUR DAUGHTERS shall PROPHESY...And on my servants AND ON MY HANDMAIDENS I will pour out in those days of my Spirit, and they shall PROPHESY." In these verses, the Greek word for "prophesy" can also be translated "to proclaim," "to declare," "to sing," "to write," and yes, "to preach."

I would estimate that there are considerably more Christian women within the church than men, but let's conservatively use the statistic that world's Christian population consists of 50% men, and 50% women. If Satan can twist Scripture in such a way that he shuts up over half of the Body of Christ, he has seriously weakened it. Let's not give him the chance!

God could do considerably worse than me sir. I am faithful and believe in MY GOD. I am not mean spirited nor am I a name caller. I simply meant that men in general do not listen well to women. That is what I meant by hardheaded. Excuse me.

Didn't a group of men choose what would be in the bible and what wouldn't be?

And we kind of just roll with that???

Hmmm bet Mary Madgelane would be pissed right now.

Ok, it's not really funny. In fact, it's pretty pathetic that people are actually arguing about this in the 21st century.

How sad. frown

As far as we know Lee. As far as we know. Mary would probably just smile and go on about her business.

Hi Abra. Yes, we still talk about it amongst ourselves. Even in the 21st century. Me?? Because I really hope there is more than this.flowerforyou And if not...then it missed a good chance.

Sorry Kat,

What I meant by that it that it's sad that it's even an issue.

It's a shame that everyone doesn't automatically respect every other human being as an equal by now regardless of gender, or any other potential differentiation.

It’s also completely disgusting in my mind that anyone can believe that a god would be bigoted in any way shape or form, and that would include being chauvinistic.

As you well know, I denounce all indoctrinated religions. I feel that they pollute the soul with bigotry.

You are a darling.

As for religions, I haven't any, really. Just searching.

Disgusting? Whatever I say comes from the scriptures that most people on here adhere to. Learning them even if they are hard to be understood is beneficial to any believer to prepare for what is comming. Now i know you are an evolutionist and you are trying to indoctrate those wo will listen in all the ways you can think of make them question creation and a Elohim who in the near future will come back. Don't be part of this crowd the downside is not to appealing.

2 Tim 3:1-9

But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers , disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, 4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of Yahweh, 5 having a form of holiness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! 6 For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, 7 always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. 8 Now as Jannes and Jambres resisted Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, disapproved concerning the faith; 9 but they will progress no further, for their folly will be manifest to all, as theirs also was.

Disgusting? Not for me. Not in the least.
It is an awakening of sorts for me. A hope, a reason to try harder to live in contrast with our universe, nature. For me....life has changed due to my searching and my beliefs. I like who I am now, as compared to before I had knowledge.
It isn't for everyone, but everyone will come to their own.
God is many things to many people. Some people here believe in a God (god), only differently than me or you or someone else.

An evolutionist?

With all due respect Miles you seem to have a very restricted view of life. Evolution isn’t even a religion, it is simply a science that conflicts with mythology.

You talk about end times and someone coming ‘back’. As far as I’m concerned you may as well be talking about Alice in Wonderland and a disappearing Cheshire cat. There is just as much reason to believe in Alice in Wonderland as there is to believe in what you seem to have accepted as truth.

Yes, it’s true that I understand that evolution actually occurred and it is how we came to be what we are today. But it’s not a religion. It’s an observation. I also understand that when we drop things they fall to the ground. Does that make me a gravitationist?

Spiritually speaking if you must put a label onto me, you can say that I have a pantheistic view. I believe that god is omnipresent because god is everything and everything is god. However, I don’t associate those views with any specific dogma. I simply realize that I am indeed a part of something much larger than myself (i.e. the universe). I also recognize that this is true of everyone, and therefore we are all one in that we are all a manifestation of this universe. I believe this because it’s observationally apparent and doesn’t require placing my faith in any mythological fairytales. I can clearly see that this is truth.

You choose to believe in stories that were written by other men. Obviously you believe that those stories were inspired by the very deity that they describe. You seem to be complete willing to accept that while the behavior and teachings of the deity in the New Testament is totally different from the behavior and teachings of the deity in the Old Testament they are still, in fact, the same deity. From my point of view an unchanging god could not have possibly changed so drastically.

However, none of that is of any real importance. It clearly states in those stories that no man knows when this deity will return. You seem to believe that the “end times” are eminent and that we must “prepare” for this immediately.

Well, I have two things to say about that:

First off, I am always prepared to meet my maker so it makes absolutely no difference to me when that event might occur (assuming it will ever occur). Preaching to me to prepare to meet my maker is to not know me.

Secondly, because it states that no man will know the time when this deity will return then why do you think that you know? Are you not a man Miles?

Why should the deity return in a mere 2000 years? Why not 20,000, or 200,000, or even 2 million years down the road? There is absolutely no reason to believe that the world will come to an end anytime soon.

The energy you spend contemplating doomsday anxieties would be better spent rejoicing in the positive aspects of creation. Do you really believe that a god wants you to wallow on negative thoughts?

All you need do is live your life in a manner in which you feel that you are prepared to meet your maker at any moment, and you’ll be just fine. I am prepared to meet god in whatever form god may appear. I will meet god standing on my feet with pride, not a pride of the ego, but with the pride of god that I am what god has created.

You see Miles, I actually believe that god does love me. There’s no need to wallow in shame that I am a human, for this is how god has created me. I am what god created. And this is what god wants me to be. Why should I wallow in fear and shame?

Any religion that has man wallowing on his knees asking for forgiveness for being human is totally pathetic. This is what authoritarians would love people to do. If they can get people to wallow on their knees and be humble toward the authority of the church they can control the masses. And that is the origin of manmade religions.

Toss those books away Miles. Go outside and inhale the breath of god. Focus on the positive aspects of life. Surely this is the most important thing that you can do for god.

I can see you know very little in what i believe. The continuity of the scriptures have to be equal or they are a lie. The religion you speak of and many put me in is a ferry tale. I am sure you have heard me speak of the Law has not been done away. The NT in Math 5 even speaks of this. I do not adhere to the earth being destroyed. The comming of our Savior is to rule on earth. Those who have chosen him will become spirit and can never die. Approximately 1/5th of the worlds population will survive what they have done to themselves believing in this fairy tale that things have changed. Yes we are to prepare as the 6th day of the week is a preparation day for the sabbath so is the plan that Yahweh has laid out to bring his children thier inheritance as seen in Isa 58. The 12 apostles and judas was prophisied. Also it was prophesied that judas would betray Yahshua. Then comes the throwing of lots in which barnabas was chosen. It is also fullfill and was prophesied a man succh as paul would be directly chosen and with evangel that he would spread the apostle chosen by lots would be his companion. Guess what barnabas was Pauls companion sent to the gentiles. This is no fairy tale Abra. Yahweh has promiced that he does nothing without 1st revealing it to his prophets. i do not know if i am a prophet to be used or not. What i do know is i have no religious training. Seem to know scriptures that i did not realize i know. It just comes out. This is also prophesied as a sign in the end times. What you have been exposed to is a doctrin of satan. As Yahweh in his final judgement or for now also. Does not torture people in a made up gfantacy to scare converts with the beginning of Dante's plays where he portrayed people burning in hell. Thier are egyptian religions who believe in this concept and the kings went to great measures to seal thier fate. Death you see is like sleep the whole bible speaks of this. A study by the AMA found out that at the point of a persons death a chemical is released in the brain. This same chemical is also they found out is released as a person just enters a sleeping state. Rejuvinating you see is the purpose of sleep just as death is a rejuvenating back to a spirit when the day of reconing comes whether in the 1st reserection or the 2nd where the recorded books of your life are opened to be judged by your works. Yahweh is a fair and just Elohim. He gives us free will to love him and come to live with him so we do not make the same mistake the angels did as did satan/helel when they rebelled against authority. We are give free will as a son and not a messenger of a king. Yahweh is here now. Whether you here him is up to you. His sheep hear his voice and another they will not follow. Your fairy tales you speak of has gone on for thousands of years over 1 peice of realaste. Jerusalem. Still happeneing we hear it every night in the news. This is also prophesied. Now do you concept of probability as the german who came up with this over eistien. And see what the chances are that a story of a Elohim who has his name in this city Yah-usalem.. Yahweh's city of peace. which will come. And give me the mathmatical numbers of proability of this city being a place of worship for thousands of years.. I will be waiting for your reply.. Take Care Blessings of Shalom..... Miles

You’ll never convince me that god is so egotistical that he is only interested in those who have chosen him (especially when that choice evidently requires believing in a specific dogma that is riddled with contradictions and absurdities)

Your claim about prophesies coming true in the news is simply untrue. What you see in the news is a gross misrepresentation of reality. Let’s just consider the USA for a moment.

I looked up the crime statistic and discovered that if we take all crime that is committed in the USA (and this includes everything from the most violent horrid murders to the mildest most innocent traffic violations). The percentage comes out to be that only 7.8% of the population has actually committed a crime.

Now compare that with what you see on TV on an hour-long newscast. If the news was genuinely representative of reality then only 7.8% of that hour would be devoted to reporting crime, and the other 92.2% would need to be devoted to reporting stories of how people are enjoying life and treating each other with respect.

Think about it. If an hour-long news cast actually reported reality only 4.6 minutes of it would be devoted to crime. The other 55.4 minutes of it would be stories about decent people living respectable lives.

The news feeds on drama! They focus on the most gory crap they can get their greedy paws on. Because they want to shock you and keep your focused on their program. How many people are going to sit there watching stories about grandma playing with little Suzie for an hour?

The world is nowhere near as bad as you seem to believe. In fact, the stupid news shows have everyone convinced that the world is 99.9% violence and only 0.1% of the population is nice.

It’s simply not true.

Shut your TV off and go visit some nice people. They’re all over the place. In fact if you roam every square mile of the USA, 92.2% of the people you will meet will be NICE!!!!

Your negative outlook on life is unwarranted. You watch too much TV. Get out and meet some real people.

You make it sound like we’re living in Sodom and Gomorrah and that the stats are completely the opposite of what they really are. Toss the negative prophetic books away, shut off your TV, and go visit someone’s grandma.

You’ll be glad you did. drinker

I agree with the news its fantacy. i am not spreading doom and gloom but what you would call nice people. But since the news is is so much opininated to draw in and get the people to believe falacy. You subscribe to that same fantacy as Darwin did not even believe what he wrote. Are you going to tell me the probability that Jerusalem would be fought over as a religious city? With fantacy being it's root cause for this?... Shalom Miles

Thats a cop out. Mathmatical stastics alot of science is based on. So 1 city in all the earth to be fought over as holy. Would statistically be scientic impossilbe that their has not been great occurances whether known or unknown. Which would prove through mathmatics that thier is a creater and he had Jerusalem set up as a place of worship.. Duh.... Miles

Apologies for my simplistic veiws...

I see the word 'can't' and immediately say wanna bet?

Women can do anything a man can do...perhaps not all women, and perhaps not all men.

I suspect this separation is for one purpose and one only...

women give birth...oh my...'create' life...and yes with a man's assistance in the conception...but a woman's body creates life...

Little too close to the old G word for many of the ancient patriarchal outlooks, methinks.

Even his mortal son...came through a woman...and wasn't just morphed onto the earth....interesting.
